Where do I begin....this place is magical. We were there for 5 nights 8/28-9/2 in Unit 25 celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The forty units and the people that work there are simply amazing, the resort is so well thought out and well run. Every single staff member was very helpful and we loved that you direct text to the concierge and they help with everything!! The rooms are so unique and beautiful. The bed/bedding was perfect. I meant to ask what the bed brand is because I think we need to buy one! The restaurant food was amazing (we had lunch there one day, breakfast a couple of days, and dinner one night) There is a trail head right at the lobby entrance which was OK, but ended up driving to the the West Fork Trail due to the bellman recommendation. Do it, you will NOT be disappointed!! We are not hikers but are physically fit. This trail requires you to cross water multiple times- you CAN do it without getting wet (I did) but fair warning! We also walked into town from the resort (about a mile) and to Airport Mesa/Mesa Grill (about 1.5 miles) - - Walking into town was much easier than walking to Mesa Grill (walking to the airport is uphill!!)- We had rented a car but used the car service to get to all of our meals (Mariposa- filet was the best we have ever eaten, Elote- Shrimp and pork belly dish was absolute perfection, Broome & Orchard- crispy rice appetizer was maybe the best app I have ever had, Dahl & Deluca, Rene's at Tlaquepaque- ALL we highly recommend!) We also went to The Art of Wine in town and did a wine tasting, really fun and helped us realize we were fine with the tasting and didn't need to do any wineries. We ended up only needing our rental car to/from Phoenix and to West Fork Trail. Back to Ambiente itself- the spa was wonderful. We did a couples massage. Pool area with large hot tub was perfect. There are good snacks and non alcoholic drinks refilled daily. The lobby was very welcoming with coffee and ice water with lemon available at all times. The water at the resort is fine to drink, they have their own filtration system. We called for coffee every morning because we are east-coasters up before the restaurant opened at 7am. They have a coffee maker in the room (pour over) but we preferred the coffee that was delivered in the AM! The rooftop was so fun to lay out and look at the stars. We didn't use it as much as we thought we would. The units are laid out in such a way that you really don't see anyone on the roof (unless they are standing and in a unit next to you) They really did an amazing job with this place- we would absolutely stay here again. It is a splurge but well worth it!!

We had a truly amazing stay...so much so that we extended for an extra unplanned night! The highlight of the trip was definitely the stargazing...absolutely breathtaking and worth the visit on its own. The atmosphere was peaceful, the service was great, and the overall vibe made it hard to leave. I definitely needed more time to soak it all in. While it was slightly more expensive than some other places, the experience made it well worth it. Highly recommend if you're looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
