Ambiente Sedona, A Landscape Hotel

Amazing experience from the second we stepped onto the resort. The facilities are amazing and everyone who works there are kind, courteous, and helpful. I highly recommend!

We spent three nights at Ambiente over a June getaway and it exceeded every expectation. We stayed in a creekside atrium (Room 10), and the concept really delivers — a glass-walled cube raised above the landscape, with a private rooftop deck that became our favorite spot of the whole trip. We watched the sunset from up there the first night and came back for the stars every night after; Sedona’s dark skies plus that deck is something special. The design is the star here. The “landscape hotel” idea isn’t just marketing — every room feels tucked into the terrain, the engineered creeks running through the property are a lovely touch, and the whole place is quiet and private despite being right off 89A. We never heard a neighbor. The staff made it personal from check-in, treating my partner’s birthday as an occasion and surprising us with a bottle of wine. Forty1, the on-site restaurant, was excellent — and we were delighted to find a full vegan menu, which made breakfasts easy. Poolside harp music one afternoon was the kind of unexpected detail that sticks with you. A couple of gentle wishes for next time: we’d love to see even more plant-forward options across the menus, and given how naturally the setting lends itself to wellness, some yoga, meditation, or guided mindfulness sessions alongside the spa would be a wonderful addition. The bones are all there for it — it would fit the Sedona spirit perfectly. The location is ideal: a short drive to the trailheads (we hiked Bell Rock and the Munds Mountain wilderness), the vortex sites, and into town, but far enough to feel like a retreat. If you’re considering Ambiente, do it. We left already wanting to come back.

This is my favorite place on the planet. From the minute I arrived until the second I left, it was pure magic. The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable, and incredibly unique. The floor to ceiling glass atrium like design is brilliant. The private rooftop is something I’ve never experienced at any other hotel. There’s nothing like stargazing on the daybed with the fire pit going! The pool is fabulous and the restaurant is outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond—every single person is kind and friendly (the staff truly makes this place just extra!). Every detail feels thoughtful and special. I love the amenities in the room and the selection of interesting treats in the mini bar. Always unique. The last time I got obsessed with their drip coffee! Bummer that this time I couldn’t get the kettle to work so I missed out on that :(. I’ve traveled a lot, and nothing quite compares to Ambiente. I was already planning my next visit before I checked out. I had been here before and somehow it got even better….as a matter of fact I booked again today for August! I’m counting the days till I get back to this dream!

Amazing resort to stay at, and I really appreciate the beauty that Sedona has to offer. The staff is amazing from top to bottom, and it is easy to communicate with the resort, making the stay easy and enjoyable. It is also in a prime location with beautiful landscape views.

My wife and I had our 20th anniversary trip to Ambiente recently in June and it was a fantastic and memorable experience! From our first arrival we were greeted with enthusiastic and helpful teams who made us feel comfortable right away! The customer service and over-the-top attempts to make us feel pampered were much appreciated! We felt the value for what the resort costs was 100% worth it in this regard. Danny and the whole team go out of their way to help plan dinner reservations and activities, transport you around the resort and Sedona to restaurants and drop offs as needed, and bring you anything needed throughout the stay. Our room was great, with beautiful views of the Sedona red rocks. Sitting on top of the roof each night was a highlight of our trip as well. It is hard to describe the floor to ceiling windows - just amazing! The pool area is very nice, and again - customer service was excellent. On site dining is great, the breakfast credit is a huge plus in my opinion, allowing you to comfortable eat every day without concern about over-priced resort restaurants. Forty1 has good food - not the best restaurant I have ever eaten at but overall very solid. I do think their drink/cocktail pricing could be better adjusted to restaurant standards immediately around Ambiente. Overall - this trip was near perfect. My wife and I had a great time and would 100% return again. The whole Ambiente team works tirelessly to help each guest feel comfortable while staying there and it is very evident they work hard to do so. We can't wait to return again!
