AMAZING Experience at Enchantment!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

I had an absolutely AMAZING experience at Enchantment during my 5 night stay! If you are on the fence about staying here, just book it and you won’t be disappointed. STUNNING property and views. Beautiful pool and grounds. Great restaurants at the resort. Fantastic customer service. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for in this case. Here are some details: ROOMS: I stayed in a Junior Suite Double Queen Casita - beautiful room with a small living room and fireplace. I had to switch rooms on my 4th day since I booked last minute and didn’t have the same room for all 5 nights (seamless switch with bags in my room upon my return from the Grand Canyon). I was in a Double Queen Casita with a phenomenal patio and view. Both rooms were fantastic, but the double queen casita I stayed in for the 2nd half of my stay was a bit more modern and insane view. I was happy with both. Property and grounds are simply stunning. You really feel like you don’t need to leave and can get the best of Sedona right at the resort. MEALS: Both restaurants on property at Enchantment were delicious food with great service and amazing views. I was here on Spring break and booked reservations ahead. I also went over to Hummingbird (16 and over) for breakfast and to enjoy their fresh juice bar. ACTIVITIES: Great, easy hiking trails on property. Boynton Canyon Trail and Kachina Trail/Vista. Kid friendly and easy enough for all to enjoy with amazing views. Trail House at Enchantment was great with recommendations for local trails and our day trip to Grand Canyon. Our boys played pickleball, enjoyed the complimentary stargazing on Saturday/Tuesday. And of course, lots of pool time! They have biking, an artist cottage and lots of other activities to choose from as well. Since I was with my kids, we mostly did the hiking, pool, and pickleball. SERVICE: Warm welcome with delicious prickly pear lemonade. Golf carts to shuttle you to and from your room, after your hike, or whenever you need. Turn down service with slippers, sweet water color postcards with beautiful messages left daily - they even tidied up our phone wires with little enchantment Velcro holders. They think of everything! Helpful concierge and overall service. Everyone is so friendly. MI AMO: I enjoyed visiting Mi Amo for the morning ritual in the Grotto and labyrinth walk. I also had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed some of their fresh juices. I explored the beautiful property, but didn’t book a spa treatment here since I was with my kids. But, it looked amazing! All in all, I would not stay anywhere else if I’m back in Sedona. It was a real treat to stay here and worth the splurge! Enjoy every minute if you go here (which I would highly recommend!)

Good but opportunites for improvement

The resort itself is beautiful, and you can tell a lot of thought and effort goes into the overall experience. That said, my stay ended up feeling fairly average due to a few frustrating interactions. We arrived around 12pm and were told that standard check-in was at 4pm. Since we booked through Chase, we were informed we’d receive early check-in if available and that we would be called once our room was ready. We explored the resort for a few hours, but unfortunately never received a call or any follow-up. When I stopped back at the front desk later, I found that my room had been ready—with keys prepared—but no one had notified us, which was frustrating. Another downside was that many activities were already fully booked by the time we checked in. It would have been extremely helpful to receive a proactive email or some sort of notice ahead of time encouraging guests to reserve activities in advance. We had a short stay, so it was disappointing not to be able to take advantage of the kid/family-friendly offerings. Lastly, pool management was quite disorganized. It was difficult to find seating, and there didn’t seem to be a clear system in place, which made the experience more stressful than relaxing. I understand the hotel being busy, but that makes it even more important to have a structured check-in or waitlist system rather than a free-for-all. Pool staff were also inconsistent—one day we received full service, but the next day we had to track staff down, and they simply handed over towels and covers without assistance. Overall, the resort has great potential and a strong foundation. However, given the premium price point, I came in expecting a more polished, seamless, and attentive experience. While nothing was outright terrible, the gaps in communication, organization, and service made it feel like the resort slightly underperformed relative to the luxury standards it aims to deliver.

Loved the Room, Facilities and Coach, Frustrated with Transportation and Noise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I stayed here for four nights, and this issue became increasingly frustrating. The golf cart service felt disorganized and slow. For example, when I requested a cart at reception and went outside to wait, other guests would sometimes take the cart I had called for, forcing me to request another one. The system could be improved if drivers verified who requested the cart (e.g., by name) and were informed of the guest’s destination. As it stands, this feels like a coordination issue between reception and the drivers that could be addressed with better communication. There were also instances where I called for a cart from my room and it never arrived. Eventually, I found it more reliable to drive myself rather than rely on the service. On a positive note, the room service and evening turndown were excellent. Not having to manage the blinds and lighting myself made it easy to rest well, which I really appreciated. There was also a noise issue during my stay. The guests next door were extremely loud early in the morning, it was around 6:30am......I was woken up by shouting, and later they were playing football right outside their room, which is very close to mine. I understand families want to have fun, but the noise level at that hour was disruptive enough that I had to step out and ask them to keep it down. Lastly, loved my three day tennis coach Chet, a very charismatic man.

Hike Sedona and Grand Canyon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Family of 4 enjoyed all Enchantment Resort had to offer. We picked the resort for it location, hiking opportunities included guided hikes, and activities. The teens loved art classes, archery, air hockey, pickle ball and table tennis. We took advantage of sun rise hikes in our back yard (Boyton Canyon), meditation hikes, guided trips to Grand Canyon, and evening star gazing. PS Food is not great in Sedona and it is expensive; the food at the Market and Chi Ah Chi in the resort is the best we tried, including the top "must" go restaurants on bloggers and TA lists.
