Beautiful hotel but be picky when booking “Cliffs” rooms.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This hotel is gorgeous and we have loved staying on this property. The poolside food and drinks at the Duck Pond are great, the little fitness gym is adequate and the fact that guests can use the spa/steam room facilities is a big plus. Cress restaurant was delicious. The con: We booked a “Cliffs” room and were put in 3225 which opens into a parking lot full of large busses. Gives strong motel vibes. It’s also 100 steps up from the main property which we knew when booking, but it’s really a lot! It appears that all the other nicer looking, better cliffs rooms are open but when we tried to switch rooms it was way too much of a pain. For the price (~$3000 for 4 nights), it would have been nice to have at least had a bathtub and been in a better location.

Perfect Honeymoon

Exceptional views and services make this hotel the definitive way to experience red rock country. My wife and I went for our honeymoon, and we felt truly taken care by Erin, Anna, Usvaldo, and Madalyn during our stay.

Had a great time but the property needs a refresh.

There are good things about the property but it is run down. Our room was nice but when you walk the property there is lattice falling over and the quality of the spa was very disappointing, especially for something that is supposed to be 5-star and is over $1000/night. The restaurant was excellent and it was charming being near the creek.

Amazing!

An amazing hotel. Exceptional views, food, and hospitality. My only pick is wished they had more wellness classes daily! I joined one every day.

Nice but not outstanding

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My husband and I just visited the resort and stayed in a Premier Creekside cottage. The setting of the creekside cottages was absolutely lovely. There are two rows of cottages: one row right on the creek and another behind separated by a foot path. Keep this in mind when booking if you’re interested in a cottage. Rooms at the resort are spread out over many different levels and many different accommodation types. For example, if you’re staying at the cliffs, it’s way up high on a mountain side and is more attached to downtown Sedona then it is to the heart of the resort. Those rooms would be a totally different feel and experience than the cottages along the creek. I would keep this in mind once selecting your room type. The resort charges a daily fee that covers gratuities for valet and housekeeping. It would probably cost less if you tipped the staff yourself, but it was nice to not have to be constantly reaching into your wallet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The resort is very conveniently located and they do offer a town car service that will take you anywhere within a mile of the property which gets you to almost all the shops and restaurants in town. However, there were a number of missed service opportunities and, for the cost of our stay, it was not quite the experience I was expecting.
