Great Ambiance Excellent Staff

Excellent property. The rooms are clean, cabins give massive ambience and staff are very nice and professional. Excellent stay. Will go back the next time I visit Sedona.

Perfect weekend get away

Beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff. It is an easy walk into Sedona but feels so far away from everything with the soothing sound of the creek, a warm fire and the surrounding trees in full color. Dinner is in an intimate setting with a creative menu and great service and breakfast outside in the cool morning with a warm coffee. We had a afternoon at the spa after a scenic hike. A perfect weekend.

Great location. Underwhelming service.

Great location. Nice rooms. Underwhelming service. We loved Sedona, the nature and the great restaurants in town. At best the Auberge offered mediocre service orientation. The hotel lacks "personality" and the atmosphere of a top resort. Everything is very transactional. Personal is in general inexperienced, disinterested in guests, and not welcoming. One exception: the maids taking care of the room were exceptional. We would always come back to Sedona however rather not to the Auberge.

We cannot justify coming back without in-room changes.

We have visited L’Auberge de Sedona twice per year for the last seven years, and it has always been a special place for us. Unfortunately, the most recent change to the room layout has made the experience significantly less enjoyable and will ultimately mean we do not return. The resort removed the in-room dining table and the comfortable sitting chairs/ottoman and replaced them with bar-style lounge chairs and a very small table. The new setup simply does not work for in-room dining or relaxing. The table is so small that part of one of our meals actually fell to the floor while we were trying to make it work. At $800 per night, you should be able to sit comfortably in your room, enjoy the fireplace, and have a normal meal without struggling to balance plates on an undersized surface. We shared this feedback with the staff and even invited the manager to dine in the room with us so they could experience the issue firsthand. The response we received, while polite, made it clear that there are no plans to reconsider this change. L’Auberge has always felt like a home away from home where we can get some rest from busy careers and family obligations. Unless proper dining tables and comfortable seating return to the rooms, we simply can’t justify coming back when we can find these most basic accommodations at other Sedona resorts for less than half the nightly cost. It’s disappointing to see such an elegant property make a design decision that genuinely impacts the comfort and functionality of the stay. We hope management reconsiders, because we would love to return, just not like this.

What a beautiful resort! The views were stunning. And truly the resort seemed magical. But unfortunately, we had quite a few issues. Pool and hot tub heaters were not working. Nobody's fault but very sad. TV didn't work at first. Maintenance did come and take care of that. Cappuccino machine in the main restaurant wasn't working the whole time we were there. Understaffed one day and we ended up not being able to get breakfast. My biggest issue was valet left us stranded for an hour when they told us it would be 15 minutes. Called 3 times and kept getting they will be there in 15 minutes. The communication between front desk and valet was not good. So I hope they continue to improve because this place was absolutely beautiful!
