Perfect location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Perfect location with easy access to restaurants and shops. The views from the resort are breathtaking. The room locations vary between cozy cottages alongside a creek or perched high overlooking the property. I find it difficult to decide which is better. We loved the smaller size of the hotel and the more personalized service. With the friendly nature of the staff, everything was easy and contributed to making our stay extremely relaxing. Every aspect of service was outstanding from front desk, bar/restaurant, housekeeping and valet drivers.

Stunning views, excellent service

Our room overlooked the stunning red rock mesa.... And with the fire pit on and sipping coffee on our deck as the sun rose, it was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday.

The grounds were beautiful, and views from the cliffs incredible . The valet staff was also especially friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay!

Poor Customer Service & Spa Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We enjoyed our room and view however the customer service was terrible. I started calling 1.5 weeks before our stay to book a spa treatment. I called several times with no call back. Then we we arrived, I messaged the front desk to see if they could help. They contact the spa and asked them to contact me. I did this 3 more times. Then finally walked down to the spa to be told they are fully booked but knew my name since I contacted them many times. It was a major disappointment since I came for a spa and wellness vacation.

L'Auberge de Sedona has gone downhill

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We loved the previous version of this hotel. We have stayed several times in the past, but unfortunately will not stay again. The hotel's expansion seems to have overwhelmed the hotel. Everything was difficult about the stay. Check in line was long and full of people complaining about issues. Parking was challenging, from the check in process to moving car to Cliffs entrance in traffic. Cliffs rooms were very nice with beautiful view, but the rusty railing seemed a little precarious, and website should warn about long trek to rest of resort. The climb was fine for us but I can see how some may find challenging. Room service to the Cliffs rooms presentation is terrible, like a DoorDash delivery, not what you expect from 5 star resort. The lounge at the Cliffs experienced a water leak of coffee machine and it was left a huge mess. The areas of the hotel that we appreciated were gone, charm removed from the restaurant, lobby and lodge. It used to feel so rustic yet upscale. Now it seems very generic, everything just got a coat of white paint but removed the charm from it. It is very disappointing to see the transformation. The only standout pluses were the concierge for hiking advice and the new pool at Cliffs is very nice with gorgeous views.
