Nice experience in Sedona

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

I thought this was a very nice hotel in a perfect location in Sedona. Everything is either walking distance or a hotel van/golf cart ride away. The spread out poroperty is beautiful and rustic and we thought the service was terrific all around. We had an excellent dinner and drinks at the hotel restaurant which sits right on a beautiful creek. The pools were lovely especially the upper one with a nice view of the red rocks directly infront of you. We had a creekside cabin and its condition s really the reason for my 4, not 5 star review. I thought the room itself was very nice, large and well appointed with a fireplace. The negatives were the chairs on the deck were ridiculously uncomfortable with a metal bar protruding right into your back and when you stepped into the bathroom it looked like it was from the last century. There was barely no water pressure, a shower head that should have been changed twenty years ago, a toilet that is inexplicably barely off the floor and sink faucet pedastals whiche moved with the faucets becuase they were not connected anymore. The bathroom would be questionable in a motel. Please renovate!.

Good experience but didn’t wow me. Property only accommodating to warm weather. Only one dining option on property. Beautiful views and lovely creekside ambiance were the main pros.

Romantic Anniversary Getaway in a Stunningly Beautiful Setting

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Unbelievably gorgeous property with impeccable service. The rooms, the food, the setting are all top notch. The property is walkable to anything in DT Sedona and you don't even have to ever leave to enjoy your visit. We had a very relaxing and leisurely weekend together and definitely will go back.

Underwhelmed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We came here for our anniversary and we were really disappointed. First of all, this simply isn’t a 5 star resort (though they charge 5 star prices). We booked one of the Creekside Cottages-supposedly, one of the nicer rooms. Upon walking in, we noticed that the room really had not been updated in years. You will not find waters, snacks or soft drinks for purchase. You will see baseboards peeling from the wall from water damage, stains on the ceiling, an ancient wall heater in the bathroom, skimpy amenities and toiletries and inexpensive bedding. When we called for waters and new bedding it took several phone calls and trips from housekeeping to get it right. (Actually, it took several phone calls for them to even answer the damn phone)! If you want to have breakfast in the restaurant, I highly recommend making a reservation first. They make in-house guests wait, even when there are tables available. There is no morning coffee service set up in the lobby for those of us who are waiting. However, you can order $10 lattes! (the in room coffee machine is ancient). Also, beware of the resort fee. It is 10% of your visit. It is supposed to go for tips (one night we did not get turn down service, so not exactly sure what we are tipping for there). Also, resort fee tips do not include restaurant or spa. It is exorbitant. This may at one time have been a nice hotel, however, there are lots of other options now in Sedona. The whole experience was overpriced, underwhelming, and like we were being nickeled and dimed. We will not be back. PS the two stars were for the valets, who were on point, and the espresso martinis, which were really good.
