Overall, we had a great stay and were very pleased with the hotel, the service, and the accommodations. The only disappointment was that the Duck Pond was closed during our visit. We were not informed of this prior to making the reservation, and had we known in advance, it would have helped us better set our expectations. Aside from that, everything else was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

A very beautiful resort that was nestled in between red mountains and a very relaxing river. You felt like you were in the middle of nature but with everything you can imagine to make you feel like a King and Queen. We went on a couples only retreat and left the kids behind to get a way and relax in nature. The hiking trails are only around 10 minute drive away. We went to Bell rock, Cathedral Rock and Slide Rock on our quick visit. We stayed in during the hot afternoons at the Spa and pools to beat the summer heat. In my short 53yrs on this planet, this resort has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed. The fact that the grounds are immaculate and the views are top notch the place had every amenity you could imagine. I would love to go back and visit again and watch the golden sunrise from one of the many spots on the resort.

Ideal location with world-class views and wonderful accommodations, but weekend marred by lapse in judgment regarding service issue. First of all, kudos to a few employees who went over and beyond call of duty, especially Hugo, Brian, Ashley and Christina. Despite an extremely busy weekend, these people made us feel welcome and appreciated. Decided at last minute to spend weekend in Sedona. Opted to use Chase Travel to book our stay. Chase offered a host of benefits including complimentary breakfast and based on availability upgrade early check-in/late check-out. Upon check in, the front desk went over all of these very much appreciated extras. We didn't ask, nor we offered an upgrade during check-in. All was good until we got a text the night before our departure offering to assist us with wake-up call, luggage assistance and anything else regarding departure. I texted the agent back reminding them about the hotel's offer for late check-out. I got a quick response saying my departure had been extended to noon. I immediately called the property and asked the front desk about receiving a "late" check out. During my previous stays at this property, I had booked using American Express and they offer a guaranteed 4 pm checkout, which allows one to enjoy the last day at the pool without the rush and anxiety of vacating the room early. I was told that the hotel's policy that any departures after noon results in an additional fee. At this point I asked if there was a manager on duty. Minutes later I received a phone call from Sarahlynn who was the on-duty hospitality manager. She immediately took the offensive with me and told me that the hotel's policies are firm. I mentioned my prior experience with AMEX and she said I should have booked with AMEX instead. I then told her that based on their website's availability there were rooms for sale in the same category we were in on the night of my departure. Her "immediate" response was that some other party had requested the specific room number we were in and we would have to depart on time. NUFF SAID. The following morning, I went to the front desk and asked if we could extend our stay in the same room and was told absolutely, our room was still available. Later the valet staff told me that they had a huge departure day with very little check-in traffic. What a missed opportunity to indulge us for a few extra hours of leisure. Can't imagine it would have cost the property any out of pocket costs. Even if this room was spoken for, Sarahlynn could have offered us a different room in which to store our clothes and use for a few hours. Unfortunately, this marred an otherwise terrific weekend. Can only hope that the recently hired general manager, Kevin Pickard, will restore this property to greatness. Have heard great things about him.

Had a breakfast on the property, great location sitting outside by the creek. Friendly service & good valet. The 3 star rating was due to food quality. Strange latte which was more an Americano with milk & lukewarm. Fried chicken biscuit sandwich again lukewarm and did not taste fresh. The chia seed pudding was ok although the saffron custard was gloopy and sticky, very odd.

Fantastic stay for our anniversary. We were able to enjoy all the resort had to offer and felt pampered the whole time. It is an expensive experience, but we felt the services we received were worth it.
