Wow!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The grounds, the room, the food, the service, the location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, were very well served and everyone on the property went out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

The Property Is Five Stars. Our Stay Was Not.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

L’Auberge de Sedona is, without question, one of the most beautiful properties I’ve visited. The grounds are immaculate, the setting is magical, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. It truly feels like a luxury resort. Unfortunately, our experience staying in The Cliffs fell far short of those expectations. Our room had an incredible mountain view that looked like a screensaver, but we could barely enjoy it because a busy guest walkway ran directly in front of our room. Our front door, windows, and bed all faced the path, meaning guests constantly walked by and could easily see into our room. For a stay that still cost over $400 (with the room normally priced between $858 and $1,100+ per night), the lack of privacy was extremely disappointing. If you’re considering The Cliffs, be aware that enjoying the sunrise or relaxing in your room may mean doing so with strangers looking inside. Arrival was also confusing. Google Maps directed us to the main L’Auberge Lane entrance, but we were told to turn around and drive to a separate entrance for The Cliffs. There was little signage, and Google doesn’t clearly indicate that The Cliffs is part of L’Auberge. Thankfully, Rachel at reception and Q at valet were outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout check-in. The room itself was another letdown. It was warm when we arrived, and despite lowering the thermostat, it never cooled below 72°F. The room’s layout blocks the only air vent behind a partition, leaving almost no airflow. Maintenance responded promptly, but explained that guests cannot control fan speed or HVAC modes because that’s “by design.” The only solution offered was a box fan, which felt out of place at a luxury resort. Breakfast was similarly mixed. The breakfast sandwich sausage was overly dense, the avocado toast had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste, and while the crab shashuka had good flavor and excellent crab, the bread underneath was hard. After mentioning this, I was offered replacement bread and requested sourdough. Unfortunately, one slice arrived toasted while the other was simply warmed and placed underneath the toasted slice. I wasn’t in any rush and would have happily waited a few extra minutes for both pieces to be properly toasted. It was a small detail, but at a property that markets itself as a luxury experience, details matter. To their credit, when we shared our feedback, the breakfast manager handled the situation professionally and graciously by offering a discount. Overall, the property itself is stunning, and the creek, landscaping, and scenery are exceptional. The staff we interacted with were largely kind and accommodating. However, between the lack of privacy in The Cliffs rooms, the HVAC issues, confusing arrival process, and underwhelming dining experience, our stay simply didn’t match the luxury experience the price suggests. I would consider visiting the property again, but I would not stay in The Cliffs.

Service Isn't Quite What It Used to Be

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed at L'Auberge again after about 2–3 years, and we still absolutely love this place. The grounds are beautiful, Oak Creek is so relaxing, and it's one of our favorite places in Arizona. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the service didn't feel like it used to. In the past, the attention to detail was incredible. This time it felt like everyone was just stretched too thin. One afternoon I asked if we could order food at the Duck Pond pool and was told there would be a server there. We waited and no one ever came. When I called, I was told there wasn't any service at that pool after all. I ended up walking back to the bar to order. Then it started raining, so we took our food to the room, only to realize our son's chicken nuggets were missing. It took another 45 minutes before they arrived. We also ordered room service once. It came later than expected, we were accidentally charged twice for one of the kids' meals (they fixed it), and I had to call three times before someone picked up the tray from our balcony. We didn't want to leave food out there with the wildlife walking around. Dinner at Cress was very good, but our server seemed overwhelmed. She wasn't rude, but she definitely seemed frustrated when I asked for refills for my kids' drinks. None of these things ruined our trip. We still love L'Auberge and will absolutely come back because the property is amazing. I just hope they can get back to the level of service we remember from our previous visits because that's what made this place so special.

Perfect Sedona Stay

Location is perfect. Get a cliff room. The views out of the Cliff room are spectacular. The pool area is very nice. Eat breakfast at the Cress on Oak Creek right by the creek outside. it is so calming and beautiful.

A hidden Oasis in Sedona

Our daughter gave my husband the most amazing 80th Birthday present. An over night stay at L' Auberge de Sedona Az. & Spa. When we arrived we walked down a beautiful pathway with magical twinkle lights in the trees guiding us to the L' Apothecary Nature Spa. We were greeted by Gina, the spa manager, with a warm and inviting welcome, and she provided us with directions to the Duck Pond prior to our spa experience. The Duck Pond is the newly renovated Cliffside Pool & Bar, with panoramic views of the red rocks, which were breathtaking. We settled in at the Bar where we met Zach, our personal Bartender, who was very helpful & friendly, we enjoyed his sense of humor & suggestions for lunch & specialty cocktails. The pool was very beautiful, and totally relaxing. When we headed into the spa for our couples massage, where we were greeted by JJ & Claranita. These ladies were so informative & helpful, while explaining our treatment & options. They were both concerned about the type of pressure we wanted & fragrance to use. We had the Peaceful Warrior CBD 90 minute massage, and it was amazing, we both fell asleep. Both ladies were very professional and waited for us outside with cool water & a relaxing area to sit. We visited the spa a year ago & somehow this experience was a cut above this time. It looked like the Spa had been refreshed & the products were displayed & arranged in a more professional manner. This must be due to the new Director, she really has made a significant difference. When we were ready to leave, Gina came out to thank us for visiting and she couldn't have been nicer, asking us to return soon & how nice it was to see us. We checked in very quickly & the staff was most efficient, everyone was friendly & very accommodating. Our Creek Side Cottage was so beautiful, we were greeted with Balloons, a Bottle of wine, & gourmet chocolates to help celebrate my husbands special year!. The room was so inviting and my husband loved the outdoor shower! We sat out on our private patio with cheese & wine just taking in our surroundings. We could hear the creek from our patio & the green oasis directly in front of us was so relaxing it made our experience unforgettable. Thank you to the staff for the wonderful experience at L'Auberge, but mostly thank you to our daughter for such a thoughtful gift.
