Great place to stay for tour of s.Korea. But no store nearby. You got to take taxi or shuttle. No walking around area. Great for family stay its very clean foods are great. There was ice skating at night but bit pricey. Dinner buffet was awesome. Hyatt lounge I wish they have more variety of foods during breakfast and lunch. Indoor pool was great for winter. Free shuttle bus to 3location was cool.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for one night, and it was absolutely not worth either the price or the amount of stress caused by the hotel’s extremely poor service. I booked my stay on April 23 for August 13–14 as part of a one-month trip to South Korea and Japan. This stay was meant to be my final night in Seoul before my return flight, so having a confirmed reservation was crucial. The booking was made through Booking.com, but when I received the confirmation, the dates had somehow been changed to July 1–2. I immediately contacted the hotel by email the same day. The “Global Care Center” responded quickly and explicitly confirmed that the dates had been corrected and that the reservation had “already been processed and successfully updated.” Based on this assurance, I believed the issue was fully resolved. Almost three months later, on July 24 — just two weeks before my planned stay — I suddenly received a notification from Booking.com stating that my reservation had been cancelled. I received no communication whatsoever from the hotel or the Care Center that had supposedly handled the correction months earlier. This triggered a long and exhausting process while I was still travelling, not knowing whether I would have a place to stay in Seoul. I spent many hours contacting both Booking.com and Hyatt. Booking.com was consistently helpful and solution-oriented, but they were unable to proceed without confirmation from Hyatt. Hyatt, on the other hand, showed little willingness to help and repeatedly dismissed me by saying I should “contact your booking agency.” This was particularly frustrating considering the issue originated from Hyatt and had supposedly been resolved long ago — without any notification to me when it clearly wasn’t. After numerous phone calls and emails, I was forced to act as a middleman between Booking.com and Hyatt, as Hyatt staff repeatedly refused to communicate directly with Booking.com. On several occasions Booking.com sent different solutions for approval at Hyatt that didn’t receive a response. Eventually, a solution was reached. During a phone call, I was informed that I had been placed on a “blacklist” due to a no-show on July 1 — a date that Hyatt themselves had confirmed was corrected. I was then “allowed” to make a new reservation, with the original price supposedly compensated. At no point was I offered a refund, despite the chaos and stress this situation caused. At this stage, I was only days away from arriving in Seoul with no accommodation secured, leaving me no real choice but to rebook the hotel. By then, the price for the same night had almost doubled. The actual stay was acceptable. The room and facilities are modern, and the view is nice, though additional surcharges (such as pool fees) should be noted. However, the service was deeply disappointing. I expected a hotel of this level to take responsibility, proactively resolve the issue, and at the very least inform me of the cancellation — not leave me to spend hours fixing their mistake myself. At this price point, I strongly recommend choosing a different hotel.

Overall it was a great experience staying at Grand Hyatt Seoul. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the staff was very welcoming. I was upgraded to the corner room with great view of Namsan and Seoul Tower. The Grand Club also had wide variety of selections for breakfast and happy hour. Two down sides: 1. The hotel is a bit far away from the nearby subway stations, so you will have to take a shuttle or walk on the hills if you need to take the subway. 2. The rooms are a bit dated, especially the restrooms.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Nestled in the mountains of Namsun, it offered just the right level of seclusion for a peaceful retreat from the busyness of the city. The setting was beautiful and wonderfully walkable, and the rooms were warm, comfortable, and equipped with modern conveniences. What truly distinguished my experience, however, was the exceptional service from the staff at the hotel buffet. Me and my family were consistently treated like a VIP by Helia, Jin-Han, Lisa, Joseph, and Suk-Kyung. They greeted us each morning with genuine warmth and made me feel at ease. I looked forward to seeing them every day—their presence alone makes the hotel feel especially welcoming and memorable. I'll never forget them.

Globalist now have a tumbler on check-in whiich is great and also that the water is now with filtered water so no worry on running out and the machine is in your room. I am not sure if it is suite specific but it is great.
