Grand Hyatt Seoul

Rooms are very dated (at least the room we were given) and cramped - and my daughter and I relatively small build. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and was told we were given an upgrade to a "premium" room. Surprise, I learned that friend staying at same hotel with us, who is not a Globalist, was given essentially the same room. I then asked front desk to be moved to a more updated and larger room, and was told there are no more rooms left due to renovations (she did say, she'll move us on Sunday - we checked in on Thursday) - which I received email notification of the DAY we checked in. No welcome water bottles in the room either. Breakfast food is OK, but dining area is grimy and tight. So far, I'm disappointed and wished I would have booked anywhere but here. Let's see where they move us to in couple days...

Wonderful hotel! The view with the floor to ceiling windows in the main lobby was truly breathtaking. I've read elsewhere the location is inconvenient, but we found it the exact opposite! You can walk directly from the hotel to one of the best city hikes (Namsan park & tower). It's also a short cab ride away to our favorite part of Seoul, Seongsu.

I'm so thankful to Hyatt for the best service and amenities. We always have a nice stay, and it is our second. For any occasion, I highly recommend Hyatt, which will surely meet your expectations.

I had a wonderfully relaxing spa experience. The staff was friendly, Bella (벨라) who assisted me was extremely nice and provided great pressure for the massage. The place was clean, smelled nice, and the price was reasonable! Bonus, you get to use the sauna & pool beforehand!

My stay at Grand Hyatt Seoul was exceptional from start to finish. As an American Express Platinum member, I truly appreciated the full range of benefits provided — including early check-in, late check-out, complimentary breakfast for two, and a $100 USD property credit. These perks made the entire experience feel seamless and elevated. The hotel also offered a complimentary wine service in the evening, which was a thoughtful touch, even though it wasn’t quite to my personal taste. We made full use of the $100 credit for room service — ordering three dishes and two drinks — and I was genuinely impressed. The food was outstanding, easily some of the best I’ve tasted in Seoul. What stood out the most, however, was the consistently stellar service. From the moment I stepped out of the cab, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and highly professional. The help desk was incredibly responsive and helpful — every time I called, they were ready to assist promptly and efficiently. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Overall, Grand Hyatt Seoul is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at over the years. Truly stellar service all around. Thank you for such a memorable experience — I will definitely be back.
