Oakwood Premier Coex Center

This place was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was very clean, and the buffet was delicious with plenty of great options. The location was perfect for us—the mall right next door had access to so many different restaurants, and the subway entrance was easy to reach through the mall. Overall, a 10/10 experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and I will absolutely stay here again!

I came to Seoul on a solo trip. I was looking for a nice, clean, quiet hotel that was close to restaurants and shops. I booked Oakwood not expecting high end luxury but given the 5-star rating I was satisfied with some things, and not really satisfied with others. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: - Location is amazing. Tons of restaurants and shopping within steps. Everyone can speak English so as a foreigner you will certainly be able to get by in this location. It is about 5-10 minute walk to Samseong Station which will get you on Line 2, taking you to Gangnam or Lotte. - The facilities are clean, 1 bedroom is very spacious. My room was very quiet and faced the Lotte World Tower which was a nice view. There is a washer/dryer combo which makes it very convenient for a long stay. Water and supplies were refreshed daily. La Four Dore is a cafe downstairs that serves coffee and good pastries. Endless places to eat within steps from the hotel. Cons: - Check in was disappointing. I arrived early given reviews I read that they were accommodating. This was not my experience. I arrived at 11am and was told to come back at 3pm. I was not offered an early check in even to pay for or given any possibility that a room could be available earlier. I understand if the hotel is fully booked, but I would warn other travelers not to get to the hotel early because I was not provided anything except baggage storage. I walked around the mall for 4 hours and was very tired. The staff were polite but I did not find them to be very friendly. I was also not able to get a late check out here. - Washer/dryer is a combo appliance, so it takes a very long time to wash and dry. I had to run multiple cycles of drying in order for my clothes to be dry. I expected this from a prior trip to Korea, but tourists should be aware. - I would describe the hotel as traditional and a bit outdated. The furnishings looked old, although well kept, and the room atmosphere is quite dark. It is cleaned well, but you could see the furnishings have been around a while. I would definitely not bring a family here. I saw many locals or Asian visitors here. It seemed like a Korean hotel rather than one that caters to Westerners.

Excellent home away from home hotel for family. We stayed in 2 bedroom, 2 bath hotel with living room and a full kitchen. It really felt like our home, very comfortable with convenience of an hotel and support staff that was so friendly and helpful. Location was awesome! Shopping, eating, walking all connected to huge mall with so many stores and restaurants to choose from. We did a lot of shopping and eating out at the mall. Everything from $7 great Korean stews to all sorts of high end cuisines to chose from. We decided on this hotel verses apartment rentals due to location and our whole family agreed we've made the right choice. It was perfect hotel in a perfect location.
