The Westin Josun Seoul

The best part of the hotel is the location. It’s walking distance from Myeongdong so lot of shopping, street markets, eating options and convenience stores. The hotel concierge especially Michael and PingKo, were super helpful. They cheerfully helped in cutting and then packing a large artwork we bought from the flea market. Gestures like these is what you remember.

Visited Seoul for the first time last week and stayed at The Westin Josun Seoul for six nights. And it was nothing short of impeccable. A housekeeper notices that you wear glasses and gifts you with an elegantly designed lens cloth while you are out. A concierge team is aware of your deep affinity for the local heritage and goes out of their way to secure an eleventh-hour exception from a cultural center long after ticket sales has closed. Hotel staff that gives you the same degree of attention and warm service while busy hosting foreign dignitaries during a diplomatic summit. One would think these things only happen in dramas or movies. But no. It happens in The Westin Josun Seoul. If you want to treat yourself to luxury right in the heart of Seoul, free from typical five-star pretension, I encourage you to stay at The Westin Josun Seoul and experience their warm hospitality.

We recently stayed at The Westin Chosun Seoul, and I have to give special recognition to Wendy Kim at the front desk, who made our check-in experience truly memorable. As Marriott Bonvoy members, we were impressed by how thoroughly she walked us through the hotel’s amenities and took the time to ensure we received all the perks available to us as members. Her attention to detail and genuine warmth set the tone for our entire stay. Beyond Wendy’s excellent service, we found the overall level of hospitality throughout the hotel to be exceptional — nearly every staff member we interacted with was attentive, professional, and courteous, including those at the club lounge, the gym, and the pool. It’s clear that The Westin Chosun Seoul takes staff training and guest experience seriously. We left our stay very satisfied and would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler, especially fellow Marriott members looking for a top-notch experience in Seoul. What a wonderful experience. In the middle of a busy city the hotel is a quiet place of residence. It was great for our week of meetings and events. The staff made sure we were heading to the right address. Helped us with reservations. And took care of every need. From the first meeting at the door with Jackson - who went out of his way to escort us through check in He was there when we checked out and again was amazing. If you have time the breakfast buffet is startlingly diverse by culture as well as beautifully curated

Had an excellent 5 night stay here on our arrival into Seoul and on our first ever visit to Korea! The hotel’s location is excellent, within a 5min walk of 2 different metro stations as well as walkable to 2 of the city’s palaces, the Cheonggyecheon Stream and shopping in Myeongdong. Despite the central location the hotel is set one road back from Nandaemun-ro and City Hall, meaning it is surprisingly calm and quiet. The hotel’s public spaces are large and grand, although it would be nice if there was a bit more seating in the lobby (the only seating is near the check in desks, and these were usually taken). We had breakfast in both the club lounge and the main restaurant. The selection is much better in the main restaurant (unlike many Asian hotels where the buffet is just as good and diverse in the club lounge) but is of course much busier and not as relaxing. Coffee in both is poor (weak machine coffee) and we bought coffees daily from the Deli on the lower ground floor as these were much better quality. We used the hotel gym and pool several times and these were both excellent, the gym was spacious, immaculate and very well equipped. The pool was very popular with families when we visited which was fine for us with our daughter but maybe not the place for a quiet relaxing swim! The service was the best we had in any hotel in Korea - I reached out to the concierge prior to our visit to try to arrange to play tennis somewhere in Seoul during our stay - Ping was super helpful in providing several options and cost breakdowns for me to choose from, and this was helpfully followed up and booked by Tom. Then on our arrival I was greeted in person by Tom who provided a lovely written pack with all the booking information on it for my lesson, along with detailed taxi directions. Following my lesson I received some lovely chocolates in the room. Our daughter also received a lovely note and snack pack during our stay which she loved. It was a great start to our time in Korea and we hope to return one day!
