The Westin Josun Seoul

We’re completing a five night stay at the Westin Josun Seoul with a detour to Westin Busan and back to this amazing hotel on December 1. Thus far, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this marvelous hotel. The property itself is well laid out with an excellent gym, spa and sauna services that exceeded my expectations. When we checked in on Nov 20 after a long flight from the U.S., we were graciously given a room at 6:15 am! Thank you Leo Park! It gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the surroundings which is in the heart of MyeongDong, a vibrant attraction. The Aria buffet, a culinary heaven, has an assortment of delicious meals from surf to turf. The Barista, Ahra Jo, with her engaging smile and relentless work ethic, made some of the best hot lattes in Seoul Korea. Our mornings started with a bang with the entire Aria staff - too many names - but all just phenomenal. I wanted to personally thank the manager, Jason Yang, for his warm welcome, professionalism, and engaging hospitality throughout our stay. He is truly exemplary and such an asset to the Marriott family. Most of all, what sets South Korea apart from all the countries is their incredible service levels. Every staff member at this Westin will go out of their way to make your stay the best you’ve ever had. They are the epitome of a “Cut Above.” It’s a prime example of the great leadership here and one that every hotel should model themselves after. THANK YOU!!!

This is the kind of hotel I would normally use when travelling for business. Very nice but we were on a personal trip and the bars and restaurant felt quite pricey. We couldn’t fault anything else. Great service and a great location for just about everything .

If you have the opportunity to stay at the Westin Josun, it’s a lovely hotel, well kept up. The real gem is in the Korean-style sauna next to the gym and swimming area. It also boasts a real gym if you’re someone who likes to keep fit on the move. It’s not a pared down gym - it really has all the equipment you could ask for. But, back to the sauna - it’s separated by gender because it’s fully nude, which is actually not an issue because Koreans are pretty respectful of space and don’t crowd you. I assume both sides are the same, but there’s ample towels, for use and amenities. For the sauna itself, there’s a steam and dry room and three pools. One is 19C, 39C and 42C. You’re expected to wash off if you just got out of the wet or steam sauna before entering the pools. I had tried a Korean-style sauna only once in the US, but having access to a very well kept up one was a game changer. I’m going to miss going to it when I’m back home. Also, nobody is enforcing nudity. You can wear a towel around your waist.

It was another exceptional stay at the Westin Josun. The front desk staff, namely Chris Lee, was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we arrived and checked in. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent!
