Located in Seville’s historic center, Hotel Inglaterra is connected to popular downtown streets off the Plaza Nueva. Part of the Lifestyle collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, it maintains a harmonious mix of its nearly 160-year-old history with gorgeously restored antiques, English-style furniture, and original engravings from Europe and Asia. This elegant estate is centrally located near landmarks such as the Cathedral with Giralda Tower, the General Archive of the Indies, and the Alcázar Palace. That means views from the seasonal rooftop terrace are sublime – no better place to enjoy Manuel Cuenca’s Manilva, a dry cocktail that scored the industry’s top honor.

Just back from a 5 night stay and I couldn't fault this hotel. I had a large quiet spotless room on the 3rd floor with a safe, mini bar etc, large basket of fruit on arrival and very comfortable bed with proper crisp sheets. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast, a good selection of hot and cold food, I only ate in the tapas restaurant one night as lots of places around. Staff all very friendly and efficient and there was a lovely lady on the city help desk in lobby who booked me on a river cruise and generally kept me right. Location wise you literally are in the city centre, most attractions are within a 15 minute stroll. I managed to get around easily despite a sore knee, just make sure you have a decent paper map to refer to, it is very easy to get lost in the maze of streets in Santa Cruz for example. Definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back any time.

We enjoyed a week's stay here in February 2026. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable although it was too hot with it being hot outside and no air con available at the time. Breakfast was a good variety of hot and cold food, buffet style. The rooftop terrace had great views of the city and the hotel was in the centre, very convenient to walk to everything.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Parking was easy (amazing for Seville) the staff are wonderful but it is the care given to the small details that makes such a difference and made our stay so special.

Super location opposite plaza Nuevo and easy walk to everything. The room we had was a premier room and extremely spacious with working air con. Beautiful 6th floor bar with amazing views of Seville landmarks. Breakfast is weird - nice room but too busy and crowded and hard to get in and out of the seating although the food is of a high standard. We booked directly with the hotel well in advance and only booked 3 nights instead of the 4 we needed and went back to book an extra night and then ensued a discussion where we would have to move to a different room for one night or downgrade to different class of room but at the same time pay a higher rate. This surprised me as we go to great lengths not to use booking.com etc and book directly. Anyway after an exchange if emails we were upgraded at the same rate to a premier room which was nice but why the hassle? The staff are quite helpful but seem a bit tired of tourists and we ended up paying 40 euros for an airport transfer becuase a taxi couldn’t be guaranteed. The last morning we tried to have breakfast but hadn’t noticed the tiny writing on check in that it doesn’t open until 0800 nit 0730 as usual and we should of asked the previous night for a takeaway bag so couldn’t even get a coffee or a croissant. Whilst the room was a wonderful size next again no plug socket at one side of the bed and in the bathroom the toilet is so close to the door you can hardly sit on it with a door stop in front of it that you trip over in the night. The shower was powerful but variable temps going cold and too hot at different times. The hotel didn’t tell us n advance that the Paza Nuevo is being terminated and thankfully we were not at the front of the hotel listening to all the ongoing works. Really liked some aspects of this hotel but needs some tweaks as pricey and flawed.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Opened in 1857 it exhibits all the quality and style of the colonial era. High ceilings with plasterwork, inlaid wood furniture, monogrammed sheets and pillowcases. Only place I have stayed where they still give you a top sh eet , which I love, plus a quilt and bedspread so you can layer up and down depending on the temperature. Magical roof terrace where you can sit under the stars and look at the flood-lit cathedral amongst other monuments. The only drawback is the reception staff, who do not speak English or French as listed. They only speak Spanish. My friend and I speak both English, French and Italian but they couldn't understand us. We found waiters in the bars and restaurants who spoke far more English.
