Reviews for Casa Romana

Great trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Casa Romana is in a great location for visiting Seville. The room was comfortable but had no windows to the outside only the inner atrium so it was quite dark. The safe in the room was not attachedvto anything and could be easily lifted. I told the reception staff about this and they dismissed my concerns about the security of the safe and didnt see this as problem. I wasnt impressed.

A Suite, but Not as We Know It

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We chose room 401 as it was pictured with a private outside terrace and described as a Suite. The room had no separate reception area and no kitchen facilities at all. The bed was hardly a double. There was one small hanging area for clothes, no drawers etc. We expected premium toiletries and got a broken soap dispenser in the shower which was removed and not replaced. The left sink was broken, we reported this and requested the terrace to be swept. On returning to the room next day, after being out until mid afternoon, the room had not been serviced and no issues attended to. The terrace boasted two sunbeds but no towels were provided. We 'borrowed' two from the plunge pool. If you are happy being on display to the people sitting in the bar area above then you may like the terrace. We did not. Also maintainance staff would wander in unannounced to attend to the noisy equipment in the corner of the terrace. Bedding remained unchanged during our 3 night stay. The operation of the lift was obvious in the room at all hours. Breakfast was uninspiring. Not a suite and not the service we expected for the cost.

Lovely hotel, terrible room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The public areas of the hotel were great and the staff were really friendly and helpful, however the room was awful. We booked an executive room and it was tiny, barely enough room to walk between the bed and the console table and the lamps were old and stained. The bathroom was also very small and badly decorated with peeling paint and damp patches. Definitely not an executive experience!

Nice hotel with a great location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We stayed at the Hotel Casa Romana for four days during our short stay in Seville. The hotel consists of two buildings on either side of the street: the main building, with the reception and breakfast area, and a second building with rooms only. Our room was in the second building, so we had to cross the street for breakfast every morning. The hotel has a great location, just a 3-minute walk from the main shopping street and a 10-minute walk from all of Seville's attractions. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, both at the reception and at the breakfast restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very good; whenever something ran low, the staff refilled it immediately. However, I was not a fan of the capsule coffee machine— unnecessary plastic waste. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was big, with a large shower. The only negative was that our room didn't have a window to the outside, only a small one onto the inner hallway. We couldn't open it or even draw the curtains, as anyone passing by in the hallway could see into our room. Therefore, there was no access to fresh air or daylight; we had to keep the lights on all the time. On the plus side, we didn't hear any street noise; it was very quiet at night. Our room was quite small for three people. An extra bed was added, blocking access to the wardrobe and bathroom, but after some rearranging, we solved the problem. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at the hotel, despite some minor inconveniences
