A 300-year-old former olive farm, the Hacienda de San Rafael is among the ancient treasures of Andalusia. This picturesque sanctuary, tucked between Seville and Jerez in southwest Spain, gazes across the tranquil Andalusian Plains. Its 11 en suite bedrooms and trio of freestanding casitas capture the regionâ€(TM)s elegantly rustic flavor and stunning beauty. Mornings begin with breakfast served on the veranda, while the garden and pools entice throughout the day. And at night, al fresco dining features tantalizing dishes crafted by the haciendaâ€(TM)s chef.

Amazing, lovely people, beautiful rooms, and place. The people who work here are absolutely adorable and will do anything to make you happy. It’s incredible how many come through and all the lounge chairs are crisp white. This is a gorgeous establishment. Much love, Courtney

I have never experienced the kind of generous hospitality I was gifted during my retreat at Hacienda San Rafael in October. From the moment I arrived, Anthony and the team made me feel deeply cared for. The hacienda itself is magical — a place where time seems to slow down, surrounded by nature and filled with quiet, grounding energy. It was the perfect setting for a retreat centred on rest, reflection, wellness. Every detail, from the meals to the spaces to the heartfelt kindness of the staff, contributed to a sense of peace and connection that I will carry with me. I cannot recommend Hacienda San Rafael highly enough — it is truly a rare gem.

Great experience. This resort is an oasis in the midst of Andalusia. The staff make you feel as if you were home, yet provide you an experience that is far from the norm. Peaceful, surrounded by nature and still close to Seville, Jerez and other popular destinations. We enjoyed our day in Jerez with Roger who led us through a couple of bodegas to teach us the art of making sherry. The meals at the hacienda were simple and delicious. Finally, be back at the hacienda to gather with new friends outside the courtyard to watch the amazing sunsets.

What a special and beautiful place. We needed a stopover on our trip from Spain to Portugal and how delighted we were to come across this beautiful Hacienda in Andalusia. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and relaxed. The location and surroundings were so gorgeous and so natural. All the staff were so welcoming and made you feel as if they were welcoming you home. It is rare these days to find such a gem and our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

A stunning Andalusian retreat in a majestic rural setting with spacious, elegant rooms, lavender scented courtyards, romantic el fresco dining - have your lunch served poolside; it's a thing of art in both presentation and culinary regional tastes! The food is truly sensational - try the smoked cod carpaccio. To die for! The staff, including hosts Anthony and Patrick and concierge Isabel and Adrianna, are remarkably attentive and thoughtful, making you feel like their special guests. They helped us plan a wonderful sherry tour in Jerez and there are many other activities and excursions on offer in the area including Cadiz. Just be sure to make time to stay at the hotel and enjoy the glorious ambiance. Hacienda de San Rafael was hard to leave and we can't wait to return.
