The Sevillian sun is part of the design scheme at Hospes las Casas del Rey de Baeza. A cobblestoned courtyard is flooded by light, prompting leafy vines to creep up whitewashed columns. The hotel blends Arabic and European design elements and incorporates the ochres and reds of southern Spain’s bullrings. On the roof, a swimming pool rimmed with aloe plants makes for a cool respite, as do the spacious rooms – slate floors, sisal rugs and cast-iron bed frames evoke the feel of a chic apartment.

What a fantastic stay we had here! Firstly we loved the location. Central for all our needs so we were able to visit everywhere we wanted to visit on foot. All the staff were superb. Our Spanish was not great but their English was excellent and their help and advice was brilliant. Food ? Breakfast was all you could want from a breakfast and when we dined one evening the food was delicious and the service once again a delight. The room was perfect for our stay and the rooftop area was a gem . If the weather had been a little warmer we would have used the pool and the bar a little more! The only thing I should mention , which others have mentioned, was that we visited in Holy Week ie the week before Easter. The reason I mention it is that every day is filled with processions as the churches in Seville make their way through the town to the cathedral. It’s quite a sight every day but you must be aware that it means for parts of the day it is almost impossible to get through the crowds to get where you wanted to be! Our hotel very helpfully gave us information on timetables etc but even armed with this information we got stuck sometimes! The sights are incredible but you need to be aware that the city is busy. We loved the city , walking everywhere but it was always lovely to return to this super hotel. A great place to stay.

Our stay at the hotel was a fantastic experience; it’s located close to the historic city centre (15mins walk), so the ideal venue for a city trip; the historical building houses very nice and comfortable rooms with all necessary comfort; also there is a toproof terrace and swimming pool available; The staff is very friendly and helpful; lunch was delicious and the breakfast is great. In summary: a strong recommendation to stay ! one small remark: as the rooms are a round a courtyard where also dinner is being served, we experienced one night a lot of noise after 23h by one guest who was talking very loud…

The two of us stayed at the Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza last week for 4 days we had a wonderful time. Cannot fault the staff or the hotel the building has a wonderfully old feeling but with a modern twist with the pool being on the rooftop which my wife used a number of times. Staff were always very friendly and able to offer advice or book taxis and meals for us which took a lot of the pressure of when going to another country. Breakfast was outstanding we had one evening meal at the hotel which again was very good. If we had our time again we wouldn't have gone at this time of the year as its very busy outside the hotel with it being the lead up to Easter but that's not the fault of the hotel.

This is an excellent place to stay in Seville. Our room was quiet with a very comfortable bed, the staff was accommodating, and the hotel was pretty. It was a good location if you don’t mind walking about 15 minutes to main attractions. Unfortunately there were no USB outlets, so we needed electric converters. There were elevators if anyone is disabled. Like other Spanish restaurants, dinner is not available until 8 pm. Nobody warned us that the restaurant was fully booked, so we were turned away when we waited so long to eat. However room service with a more limited menu was available all day. You might need to reserve dinner quite a bit in advance, but as we wanted a flexible schedule, we weren’t in luck. Altogether, we were quite pleased with our stay and we would be happy to return there.
