About the Hotel

Poised on a 375-acre coral island, surrounded by the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, Denis Private Island Seychelles is one of the planet(TM)s most magical retreats. This romantic sanctuary is just a 30-minute flight from Mahé, on the rim of the Seychelles plateau that divides the archipelago(TM)s inviting shallow waters from the mid-ocean depths. Each element emphasizes the natural bounty of the region, from the elegant sea-facing chalets to dining experiences that include candlelit dinner à deux on the beach. Once a pirate(TM)s lair, the island boasts numerous treasures waiting to be discovered. You might embark on a nature walk in search of local tortoise, board a Mako 34(TM) Striker for a day of fishing, or visit the old village, whose buildings date back to the 1930s. Bottom fishing the flats is another popular way to unwind, as is scuba diving, canoeing and exploring the unique, diverse eco-system that has changed little since explorers first arrived on these pristine shores two centuries ago.

An island of magic

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

Magic one of the truly most amazing places I’ve ever been. The kindest nicest people, an oasis in the Indian Ocean with bikes to cycle, forest paths to trek, swimming in the clear blue sea and incredibly gorgeous local food. Everything was perfect

This place is stunning and great place to go I love it there and the food is amazing and it is also a great place to snorkel and look for turtles, bay sharks and even sting rays! Whe we were staying there their where 4 MASSIVE rays probably a family I would guess we saw them at our villa (villa 20) can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful

This heavenly place was our best discovery; it allowed us to completely disconnect from our busy daily lives and reconnect with nature. Thank you to the entire team for their warm and personalized welcome that made our stay on the island so wonderful.

The perfect luxury castaway experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Denis Private Island is the ultimate luxury castaway experience. There is no WiFi or TV in the rooms which makes for a real digital detox although WiFi is available in the lobby and TV in the library. On arrival we were met by golf buggy for the short five minute transfer from the airstrip, and throughout our stay we used personal bicycles to get between our chalet and the main area which was such a fun touch. The villas are spacious with private beach access, outdoor bathrooms, and powder white sand just steps away. Snorkeling on the house reef near the pool gave us unforgettable encounters with turtles and rays, while on land we fed giant tortoises, including one that is 128 years old, and enjoyed the incredible birdlife. Dining was excellent with every meal amazing thanks to the fantastic head chef and his team and most food is local with lots from their own farm on the island. A special thank you to Narinder, Gopal, and Remi for their warm and attentive service at each meal. The arrival and departure by four seater plane was another highlight, with stunning views of the islands and turquoise sea below. This is perfect for honeymooners as it is private and romantic, and also highly recommended for families who want to reconnect with nature without compromising on comfort.

Pure Magic❣️

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Denis Private Island was nothing short of immaculate! You are welcomed as a family and you feel that way also during the whole stay. We lived in Chalet No 29 which was fantastic, our own ”private” beach outside the house. Food - Excellent and good variety Service - almost too good for a Swede. Sometimes you would like more privacy during lunch, dinner etc. We took a massage at the beach outside our house and this was great. Bicycle around the Island was also exciting. One evening the dinner was on the other side of the island, to was MAGIC❣️ starting at the beach with small fires and comfy duffel bags in the sunset.
