Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai at Pudong

**An exceptional stay at the Regent Pudong – luxury, thoughtful service and unforgettable hospitality** We stayed at the Regent Pudong at the start of our Shanghai trip and it was the perfect welcome after a long journey. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. After a long-haul flight, the team kindly arranged an early check-in for us, which was hugely appreciated and made such a difference after travelling. We stayed in a beautiful suite which was spacious, elegant and extremely comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful sense of calm and luxury, while still feeling welcoming and relaxed for a family stay. The breakfast was truly amazing, with an excellent choice of high-quality food and fantastic service. It was one of the highlights of our mornings and easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. The Regent Club lounge was another standout feature. The team were wonderful — attentive, friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks created a lovely space to relax after busy days exploring Shanghai. What really impressed us was the attention to small personal touches. During our stay we went out during a sudden rain storm and the team were immediately on hand to provide umbrellas, a simple gesture but one that showed the genuine care and thoughtfulness of the staff. The facilities were also excellent. The pool is stunning, with amazing views over Shanghai, and the gym is a full-service facility rather than just a basic hotel workout room. The included minibar was another fantastic touch, with a great selection including two full bottles of wine provided for guests to enjoy. The hotel’s location was very convenient for exploring Shanghai, and returning to the comfort of the Regent after busy sightseeing days was always a pleasure. Overall, this was one of those hotels where the service really makes the difference. The beautiful rooms, incredible breakfast, outstanding facilities and genuinely thoughtful staff made our stay memorable. We would not hesitate to return to the Regent Pudong and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

Breakfast is a complete disaster. There are almost no food options, and I can’t adjust the air conditioning temperature. I can’t even lock the door. The pool needs a lot more cleaning. The only positive is the friendly and helpful service. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I stayed 3 nights at the Regent Shanghai Pudong and had a truly excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel is located in a great area of Pudong with convenient access to the metro, restaurants, shopping malls and the famous Shanghai skyline. The property itself feels very modern, elegant and luxurious without being overly formal. I especially enjoyed the excellent facilities of the hotel. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing after a long day exploring Shanghai. The restaurants offered very good quality food and service, and the Club Lounge was one of the highlights of my stay. The atmosphere was calm and upscale, with a very good selection of drinks and food during the evening service. A very special thank you goes to Allen from the Club/Loyalty team. He took exceptional care of me throughout my stay and made me feel genuinely welcome as a guest. It is rare to meet such a professional, kind and attentive employee. Allen was always incredibly friendly, helpful and proactive. His outstanding service truly made my stay memorable and deserves special recognition. Overall, I can highly recommend the Regent Shanghai Pudong and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

I stayed at the Regent Shanghai Pudong and overall had a comfortable and pleasant experience. The rooms are somewhat outdated in style and not exactly to my personal taste, but the bathroom design works well and is functional. Aside from the design aspect, everything was in good condition and comfortable. Service throughout the stay was consistently good. The staff were friendly and attentive, and housekeeping was reliable and welcoming. Breakfast offers a solid buffet selection, although I personally missed having à la carte options. The gym is adequate for a hotel gym and well maintained. The pool is large, clean, and offers a fantastic view, which is definitely a highlight of the hotel. I also tried the Chinese restaurant as well as Camelia and was satisfied with both. The quality of the food and the service were good. The hotel’s location is convenient and easy to explore on foot. Overall, a very solid stay with good service and facilities. The design of the rooms may not suit everyone’s taste, but aside from that, I had a positive experience.

Being a Regent, one of IHG's top brands, the bar should be set very high. Unfortunately, I feel this Regent fell short. The rooms were okay -- they were big and clean and has all the necessary amenities. Service was top-notch from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff. The view form the room was unbeatable and it's located in a good place in Pudong, being close to malls and the subway. The problem is that this hotel is dated and it is starting to show. First, some of the lights do not work at all, such as the night light. Additionally, the knobs to control the shower and faucets look cool but are counterintuitive and extremely hard to use. Also, I do not know why this hotel doesn't provide firm pillows when all other IHG brands (even HIEs) have firm and soft options. I feel if this were any other brand, it would be alright. But this is a Regent, and having these issues while charging premiums is not good. I think there are InterContinentals that offer a nicer stay.
