Spanning the 79th through 93rd floors of the sleek Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), Park Hyatt Shanghai is the city’s leading ultra-luxury hotel. Presenting striking architecture and interior design; awe-inspiring views; exceptional accommodation; exquisite culinary offerings; and world-class works of art—alongside legendary Park Hyatt service—Park Hyatt Shanghai is the ideal home-away-from-home for connoisseurs of sophisticated living. Park Hyatt Shanghai is located in the heart of the Lujiazui business district in Pudong, the city’s commercial and financial epicentre, just across the river from downtown Shanghai. The hotel is also perfectly located for leisure travellers, being only 25km from Hongqiao International Airport; 40km from Pudong International Airport; a five-minute walk to Shanghai IFC mall; and a five-minute walk to the Metro, on which guests have direct access to the city’s most popular visitor destinations, including The Bund, the Old French Concession and Xintiandi.

As a high end property, it’s not merely about the beddings and food. The customer service and anticipation of the needs are equally important.PH staff from restaurants to front desk, all are empowered to make decisions to improve your experience. The swimming pool was closed during our stay, they helped arrange swimming pool use at nearby Regent hotel especially as they learnt that my kid is preparing for swim meet. They recommended that regent hotel may have a longer pool for lap swim. The breakfast staff members are as attentive. From espresso to a la cart order, they did best to anticipate the needs.

I always enjoy the privileges from Park Salon and I am willing to pay the extra fee on the environment, food, and beverages. In fact, the exceptional reputation of Park Salon is the very reason why I consistently make Park Hyatt Shanghai my first choice whenever I visit the city. However, my recent experience regarding their promotional promises has been deeply disappointing. In their official promotional materials, it is explicitly stated that complimentary Champagne is available all day. Unfortunately, the reality does not match the premium marketing. During the daytime, only standard sparkling wine is displayed and readily available to guests. Genuine Champagne is deliberately kept out of sight and is only provided if a guest specifically asks the staff for it. Hiding the promised Champagne while substituting it with basic sparkling wine feels highly misleading and, frankly, like customer deception. A luxury brand like Park Hyatt should not rely on the hope that guests won't notice the difference or will feel too uncomfortable to speak up. As a loyal customer who holds this hotel to the highest standards, I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements immediate improvements. Daily operations must align with marketing claims. Until this lack of transparency is fixed, it severely tarnishes the premium experience that makes this hotel a first-choice destination.

The hotel staff were excellent. Treated well as a WoH status member . Breakfast was excellent. Amenities were excellent. Honestly I have nothing but praises for this hotel. The location might be slightly out of the way. But the view cannot be beat.

Visited in April 2026, the location’s perfect, in one of the most recognizable buildings in the city, if not the world. Within walking distance of Oriental Pearl Tower and the tourists taking photos of the 3 buildings but the entrance is tucked away nicely so you are not bothered by them. The facilities are outstanding, all of the rooms are located near the top of the building so you have unobstructed views of the city. Many rooms have views of the Bund and Oriental Pear Tower, as well as the two other supertalls in the city: Jinmao and Shanghai Tower. We stayed in the Diplomat Suite. It was so spacious and the views were incredible, especially at night. Easily the very best views and one of the best rooms we’ve ever had the privilege of staying in. The staff is outstanding, from the moment we got out of the airport (private shuttles to the hotel are available for free depending on your room or for a fee), and throughout our stay. Special recognition needs to be given to Miranda Wang of Park Salon, the lounge we were given access to. She went above and beyond to tell us about the hotel as well as where to visit in the city. Even help play with our 10-month old daughter so my wife and I could eat in peace every time we visited. That kind of outstanding service made our whole trip so much more memorable! She deserves a raise and promotion! Breakfast was also incredible, a great selection of both Chinese and Western staples as well as fresh fruits and fruit juices (the best watermelons I’ve ever had!) Not to mention the views are incredible, especially if your room is on a different side of the building. Will definitely stay again next time and every time we are in the city!
