ecellent service and outstanding experience

We stayed in this beautiful hotel in Shanghai and would happily stay here again. We had a wonderful suite overlooking the river and the view of the Bund at night was amazing. The views from the club lounge was stunning. The staff at the club lounge were nothing short of brilliant. They were attentive, professional, courteous and happy to help us with any query we had. The hotel was immaculately clean. It was everything we expected and more.

I chose this hotel because of the location. Super close to Shanghai tower, Oriental Pearl Tower and IFC mall and of course I love the Shangri- La brand. Hotel staff were very accomodating despite that most housekeeping and dining staff has a very limited or no English at all, they were able to fulfil my request. I would like to thankFrom booking me on a high floor with a very nice view of Shanghai’s three iconic towers- Shanghai tower, Jin Mao and Shanghai World financial tower, even the bathroom has a view! And providing me some birthday amenities such as a fruit tray. I thought they will only provide a slice of cake but they gave me a whole mini cake enough for 2 persons! 😋🎂. I want to give my compliments to the room attendants at 24th floor of the Grand tower. They speak very little English but they prepared my room especially during turn down service the Shangri-La way. I enjoyed both the lunch and breakfast buffet. It was extensive and I was not able to try everything. Problem is the Yi Cafe staff didn’t show me that there is another side of the buffet at the river wing. Of course there are still some improvements that need to be done. I was not able to use the tv and the monitor in the bathroom as they are all set in Mandarin. I can’t figure out the settings! Some of the towels were worn out and the dish lid has a crack. It doesn’t matter how small the defect is but this does not exudes luxury and will affect the brand. Will I still choose this hotel on my next trip to Shanghai? 100% yes! I will try to book a room in the River Wing tower next time.

This is a great hotel at a great location. I also managed to get a room that faces the bund. What can I say, the views were great! I was also very happy with the service staff at the hotel. They were professional and engaging and anticipated my needs. I would like to also give special mention to the horizon lounge staff. Kenny, Rachel, Frost, Niall and LeBron. They all took turns to look after myself and my colleagues during our stay. It really made for a pleasant experience and I look forward to my next visit!

From the moment I arrived, the professionalism of the staff was evident. I was greeted with genuine warmth at the door, and the front desk team was both efficient and courteous during check-in. What truly stood out was the remarkable attention to detail, the staff members remembered my name and were consistently attentive without being intrusive. This high level of service is what transforms a good hotel stay into a great one. In particular, I must highlight Manager Kenny and his team at the Horizon Club Lounge. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and well cared for, creating a truly memorable experience. The hotel itself was fantastic. The combination of friendly, welcoming staff and a perfect location, right next to a major mall for easy shopping and dining, made me feel completely at home. This, combined with the stunning views of the Bund from my comfortable and luxurious room, made my stay practically perfect. I will definitely be returning to this hotel on my next visit to Shanghai.
