Where the ancient squarely meets the modern, and western reality blends with eastern fantasy, China is an enchanting land offering among the most vibrant enclaves on earth. While it's easy to lose yourself in its and fascinating history, the country's contemporary face is equally enthralling. Located along the famed Huangpu River, Pudong Shangri-La lives up to its luxury reputation in personalized service, modern amenities, the city's most spacious guestrooms, and breathtaking views of Shanghai's legendary waterfront. Brilliant examples of French and British architecture remain in the old French Concession. For glimpses of what the country was like thousands of years ago, visit the Old Chinese City. At The Shanghai Museum, the bronze collection is reputedly the best in the world.

Our team stayed at the Pudong Shangri-La from Februry through July 2026 while conducting a clinical tril at nearby Shanghai General Hospital. The hotel provided an excellent base for our extended business stay. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, the service was consistently professional, and th location in Pudong was convenient for our daily commute to the hospital. The breakfast buffet offered great variety and the business center facilities were adequate for our needs. The only minor drawback was occasional noise frm the nearby construction, but overall it was a very comfortable long-term stay for our team. Would recommend for extended business trips in Shanghai.

Another fantastic stay at Shangri-La Pudong Shanghai. The views were breathtaking, the breakfast was excellent, and the tennis court was a wonderful addition. Complimentary coffee and water. Shangri-La never disappoints — outstanding service, great facilities, and a memorable experience every time. We look forward to returning!

I had a wonderful stay at Pusong Shangri-La and would happily return. The hotel combines elegant rooms, exceptional service, and one of the best views in Shanghai. From my room, I had a spectacular view of the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, which was especially beautiful after sunset when the city lights came alive. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering an impressive variety of both Asian and Western dishes. I especially enjoyed having breakfast at the Horizon Club Lounge, which offers a much quieter and more private atmosphere along with stunning panoramic views of Shanghai. Guests can also order freshly prepared dishes from the à la carte menu, including pancakes, Eggs Benedict, omelets, and other breakfast favorites. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. If you have access to the Horizon Club Lounge, I highly recommend taking advantage of the evening service. Every evening, the lounge offers a selection of hot dishes, appetizers, desserts, cocktails, wine, champagne, and other beverages. It's the perfect place to relax while enjoying the incredible skyline of Shanghai. Another memorable experience was dinner at Jade on 36, the hotel's French restaurant. The elegant atmosphere, attentive service, and refined cuisine made for a fantastic evening. Paired with a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne, the meal was exceptional. My favorite dishes were the scallops, lobster soup, tenderloin steak, and the mille-feuille for dessert. From the outstanding hospitality to the exceptional dining and breathtaking views, Pudong Shangri-La exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Shanghai.
