A beautiful park

A beautiful park situated right next to Buckingham palace, really well looked after with plenty of places to sit and take in its lovely surroundings. Lots of wildlife and well layed out paths for you to walk around. A beautiful breath of fresh air.

Beautiful oasis

This is a gorgeous park s lake with exotic ducks, a duck keepers cottage that looks like it should be in a fairy tale and wonderful gardens. There is also a restaurant that offers a so fearful breakfast and lunch.

In the center of London, 5 minutes away from the Big Ben this park make you feel like you are in another place not in one of the busiest cities of the world, relaxing place, big trees, animals, a perfect place to just forget about the noisy london hahaha

So cool! Love the birds and squrrels

So I'm not much for buildings, more into nature. I was vacationing in London with my family and they wanted to visit Buckingham Palace. Its kind of honestly unimpressive but the grounds of the St James park are SO INTERESTING. There are thousands and thousands of birds of every species, originally brought to the park by King Charles in the 1600s. They are incredibly tame and are also little panhandlers (don't feed them bread! Seeds only!) and will follow you along the fences. The squirrels will also take food out of your hands. Its very relaxing and beautiful. We were there when it was cold in March but I imagine in a warmer spring and summer month it would be beautiful. Be sure to visit Duck Island Cottage on the grounds- it is so insanely cute and has an incredible history.

Watch the squirrels

I was lucky to have a banana with me this time. I attracted pigeons ducks hens and a smart squirrel. The place is safe and enjoyable when there are spells of sunshine. Have suitable flat shoes to enjoy a long stroll. There are people from all nationalities so you may bump into someone you know.
