D-Resort Sibenik

Not what we expected from this standard of hotel. Staff were rude and unhelpful . .. a special mention for rudeness was the restaurant manager! Poor service apart from the girl on the lower pool bar/restaurant and the breakfast supervisor . We went to the bar one evening and were completely ignored despite 3 staff being behind bar .. we helped ourselves to a cocktail menu and sat down … no one came so we left . Our room was not cleaned twice and we complained about this it still was not done . The view from our room was of an industrial loading bay by the sea with cranes not the best… in the other side it was a marina view which am sure is lovely .. we asked in check in for Marina view and told no hotel full . There is no drinking water facility (most 4/5*) have a water fountain or supply water ,, not here one bottle on arrival & a tiny fridge full of the most expensive mini bar produce I’ve ever come across . There is a little supermarket about 15/20 mins away to buy water etc . The pool is across the road from the hotel and the other one is up a hill .. all sort of the resort .. the pool by the sea is lovely but … needs maintenance.. black mould on tiles and there is broken drainage around it which is muddy . The food we ate in the restaurant was really nice & the views are lovely , we chose to get uber out and pay for that rather than eat in Hotel .. same menu every night . Breakfast was good & great coffee . Dogs are allowed and are allowed by the pool areas . There is nothing there apart from the super yachts to look at .. you can’t walk anywhere other than to the supermarket & a lovely local restaurant on the marina. It’s quiet but poorly maintained and managed :( The architecture is superb .

Nice architecture but the service is terrible except the Turkish food & beverage team. D-Resort does not comply with the standards of a Small Luxury Hotel of the World. The first hotel in my life where I had to do my bed by myself and where my daughter had to sleep on a matras on the floor ! Impossible to sleep at night due to the outside airco engines. Bathroom was dirty. Dishes also dirty at breakfast. Hotel located in the middle of nowhere. I had to justify 3 times the reason for leaving for a dinner outside in order to obtain a taxi after 20 minutes. Manager on holiday during peak season. Management staff totally incompetent. Pools overcrowded with 10 beds for 100 guests. Conclusion : More a goulag than a SLH.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at D-Resort Šibenik. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, from the bellboys and reception team to the waiting staff in the resort's restaurants and bars. The resort itself was spotless throughout our stay, with a clear attention to detail in every area. The food was consistently excellent, with a great selection and high-quality ingredients. What really stood out was the standard of service. Having visited a number of restaurants and bars elsewhere during our trip, where the service was often disappointing, the difference at D-Resort Šibenik was remarkable. The staff here are clearly very well trained, and it shows. Other restaurants and bars could learn a great deal from the standards set by this resort. Overall, we had a truly relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would not hesitate to recommend D-Resort Šibenik to anyone looking for outstanding hospitality, excellent food, and a first-class guest experience.

Everything was perfect and excellent!

This is a great looking hotel in a lovely position on the coast. Rooms are spacious and Breakfast offering is good with lots of fresh fruit and salads, hot buffet, cakes and cereals. Staff were a mixed bag, some helpful and smiling others abrupt and brusque. Rooms need a bit of updating - usb ports next to beds would help. Soundproofing is not great. Disappointed to read showers flood bathroom in review of 2024 and this is still happening. I did not want to spend time on my holiday on my hands and knees mopping up the bathroom!! Room 311.
