Reviews for Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa

Perfect!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We loved the hotel: it was a small piece of heaven in Siem Reap. Conveniently located for the visit to the temples and only 8 min by tuktuk to the city center (and we were very happy not to be in the center at night/evening but to be on a quiet location). We were very warmly welcomed by all staff and could check-in at 11 already. We would also highly recommend staying in the hotel for drinks and dinner as it was very high quality food and drinks in a beautiful setting. If we ever go back, we will visit this hotel again without a doubt!

Only two words can explain my stay at the Anantara: Absolutely Exceptional! It was truly a 5-star experience; everything was perfect from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Thank you for a wonderful experience of Siem Reap.

SUPERB

AMAZING experience! We had wonderful 26 nights stay at this calm oasis. To begin with we were very warmly welcomed with wonderful Khmer scarf. The architecture was beautifully Khmer inspired. Front staff was very sweet and welcoming. Radha, Moon, Lawis, 🙏 We stayed in a suite which was very tastefully decorated and sparkling clean all times. Yuki, our butler attended to all our needs promptly which was wonderful. Thanks Yuki🙏 Breakfast was just amazing. Some buffet and some a la carte, which was perfect. All the staff was wonderful at the restaurant but special mention goes to Chandra and Mary who very attentively and diligently served us with a smiling face most mornings. All the chefs were superb. Had one dinner and was most splendid. Made fantastic use of the wonderful spa. Got to know all the lovely staff in there. They were all excellent but found kao the most knowledgeable. My husband had a bad back but was much better after all the massages! Thank you all for your care and warmth🙏 Turn down with a different sweet dessert every night was a lovely touch. Salt water pool was a wonderful experience! No chlorine and not as salty as sea. Every Wednesday ( I think) they served a crushed ice drink by the pool which was delicious. Managed to do all the activities at least once and yoga a few time times. Very good yoga instructor. Sorry forgetting the name.. Most importantly, the GM Supratik Ghua was SUPER! Enjoyed chatting to him and seeing him most mornings. Thank you for making our stay exceptional. Would love to visit the resort again! Until next time😊

Best hotel. I didn’t want to leave.

I did not want to leave. They gave me a wonderful birthday. They welcomed me with flowers on my bed. They brought cake, flowers and champagne. I loved the room, bed, pool, massage and food. Everyone was so kind and knew my name. I felt like a queen.

Service With a Side of Cake: Anantara Angkor Delivers

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I’ve stayed at several Anantara hotels, but this one takes the proverbial cake — and serves it with a smile. The level of personalised service here should be studied by every other luxury property. Not once did I feel like “just another guest passing through.” From the moment we arrived — weary and delayed after multiple flights — we were greeted by Sam, whose amiable charm instantly erased the travel fatigue. He whisked us through check-in, gave us the lay of the land, and led us to our Premier Suite. To our delight, the team had transformed it into a birthday haven for my wife: cake, décor, and all the celebratory trimmings. Touché, Anantara. Our spa day was a masterclass in serenity thanks to Kao Eak and Leak, who pampered us with impeccable care from start to finish. The Anantara Spa remains a sanctuary of calm, delivering consistent excellence no matter how many times you visit. Dining was another highlight. Chi Restaurant and Road 6 Lounge offered immaculate ambiance and flawless service. Chanra, Mary, Chai, Dam, and Chef Narong — your warmth and openness turned every meal into an occasion. Each dish was a story, and we were more than happy to be part of the audience. With the Angkor Eye practically next door, we indulged in a complimentary ride that offered sweeping views. The hotel also arranged a private Angkor Wat tour that was nothing short of spectacular, complete with top-tier guides, comfortable transport, and icy water with chilled towels after each temple excursion — a lifesaver in Cambodia’s sweltering heat. The property itself is immaculate, the saltwater pool is pure bliss, and every small detail reminds you why Anantara has a reputation for redefining hospitality. Highly recommended — and Anantara Angkor, you haven’t seen the last of us.
