We had the most wonderful stay in the family suite and guided tours booked through hotel to Angkor Wat, outlying temples and Kulen Mountain. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing with personalised service and attention to every detail. The restaurant was lovely. Our tour guide was so knowledgable and managed to keep the kids (10 and 12) entertained and engaged over 4 days. If travelling to Siem Reap, I would definitely recommended Anantara Angkor Resort.

We had an excellent holiday in Cambodia despite losing a bag for 3 days. This was because of the people at the hotel who are nice, kind & very helpful. In addition the amenities provided by the hotel were good. It is an experience not to be missed! We loved tge people & place. The only thing for 1st timers to Cambodia, we were a bit surprised that US dollars were used most of the time. So do bring small change, which will make it easier.

The temples at Angkor Wat should be at the top of your bucket list…and hurry before it gets too commercialized. When When you come, you must absolutely stay at Anantara. The staff will delight and amaze you, and make your trip an even more memorable experience.

It’s storytime!! The concierge service at Anantara Angkor was 10 out of 10! I haven’t felt this special and cared for and I REALLY really needed it!! It was a short trip that I was originally calling a mini holiday to see Angkor Wat (bucket list), but it had become more than that. It had become a much needed personal spiritual recharge after a personal loss a few days prior. I had come to pray and soak up the incredible creator’s energy in this place. While doing so I tried not to let my pain shine through and so I smile and give the kindness I hope for but don’t also expect in return. To my utter delight I was given back kindness and care 100x. From the moment I met my guest service agent, Mouyee, at the airport I felt like the center of the universe. What a warm, genuine smile and disposition this lovely lady radiated. She was incredibly attentive to the details of all my notes and nut allergies and wishes on a whim — all were perfectly addressed. The ride home was a lovely welcome immersion rich with information that only enhanced my trip and prepared me for my sunrise visit to Angkor Wat the next morning. The Angkor Wat guide that the hotel provided was the spiritual guide I didn’t know I needed. His depth of knowledge about Angkor Wat was top tier but his ability to appease my curiosity about Buddhism was next level. But the conversation was bigger than religion, it was about the human condition, universal truths, feeding one’s soul and seeing and seizing one’s own power. I was so full with many sparks that I extracted from the hours of conversations and from the inspiring history of this wonder of the world. So grateful for that experience. Each moment in the hotel was complete luxury and top notch service. I randomly asked if they had rose apples that I could pack as snacks. It wasn’t on the menu, but by afternoon lunch the staff had gone out and obtained some for me! I had the best croissants I’ve eaten outside of Paris at breakfast (PS - a bit of Cambodia’s historical french influence peaking through). One evening I was so tired that I slept through dinner and the next morning multiple staff members noted that they hadn't seen me and asked me if all was ok. While at the hotel bar one evening the guest service team surprised me with a cute mini cake and chocolates. They would have left it in my room during turndown but I forgot to turn off the DND light. How sweet?! Speaking of the bar, the bartender was a mixologist— every cocktail was delicious, nuanced and well balanced. The conversation was filled with humor (I needed a laugh) and recommendations to further personalize my stay in short time I had. And my spa massage… there was magic in my masseuse’s fingers. I am a picky client (pressure must be just right and please avoid my tickle trigger points) , but she nailed it. My muscles are still grateful. As a business professional I travel a lot. Service in Asia is far better that my native US and in Europe — and I have stayed at the Waldorf to The W to the Martinez Cannes and everything in between. Honestly the Anantara collection staff is among the best. But this stay in Cambodia was the best of the best. And as a human who uses travel as a means of healing and personal growth, this was a badly needed experience and escape. Thank you Mouyee and Team for the incredible service, care and unconscious compassion. I needed this! Story time over.
