Golden Temple Residence

We stayed two nights at this hotel and loved it from the off. Everyone here couldn’t have been more welcoming, check-in was swift, welcome drinks and nibbles were a lovely touch, and we were made to feel Cambodian hospitality straight away. We were celebrating my partner’s birthday and the staff went out of their way…the room was decorated with a sweet message and balloons, and the next day they surprised us with a beautiful fresh-fruit birthday cake. A thoughtful gesture that really made the weekend. Our room was on the first floor facing the swimming pool. We’d wondered about street noise but it wasn’t an issue. The room was properly spacious with a large balcony (table and chairs included) and a big,bathroom had everything we needed incl scrub salt. The hotel itself is fantastic. Breakfast had a good selection, including a made-to-order omelette station. We also tried the spa and it was v.good, the Khmer Journey and Aromatherapy massages were among the best we’ve had. You can’t beat the location either: 2m by walk to the old market and Pub Street, yet the hotel feels like a calm little haven. What really sets the place apart is the staff and their smiles. A huge thank you to Pisey, Joey, Harry, Visal and Narith for looking after us so well and making our stay memorable. We’d recommend Golden Temple Residence without hesitation and we’re already looking forward to coming back and telling all our friends.

We stayed at the Golden Temple Residence for a weekend break. The hotel is clean and well situated within 5 minutes walk of major locations such as Pub St, the Old Market and the Night Market. The hotel assigns a specific staff member act as concierge to support you during your stay, and we could send him/her whatsapp messages with questions or requests. Our concierge was a gentleman nicknamed Harry, who was super friendly, helpful and responsive. He certainly made requests and changes a total breeze. During our visit, we signed up for a private day tour of the Angkor temples that was organized through the hotel. We were guided by a gentleman named Som, who greatly enhanced the visits with his depth of knowledge and insights into how and where to best see the sights. As a result we had a wonderful time touring the temples and learnt a lot along the way.

To begin with, we were greeted at the airport by the hotel attendant Vattana, who had an arranged along with the hotel’s driver to take us back to Golden Temple Residence! The hotel itself is spectacular, beautiful grounds and foliage, lovely pool and spectacular dining area! The hospitality factor could not be any better, every single staff member was extremely friendly and accommodating, always asking if they could be of any help or service! Our room was amazing, very comfortable and beautifully decorated! On top of everything else, the hotel arranged for a guide and driver to take us to the spectacular temples of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat! Our guide, Chhong is extremely knowledgeable and took us on a very private and amazing tour of the many famous temples! Vattana and Chhong and the restaurant all the rest of the staff could not be more amazing! Highly recommend Golden Temple!

Thanks a lot for hospitality, welcoming atmosphere and the best Cambodian experience you offer for your guests. I mean the introduction of khmer cousin and the Cambodian Royal dancing theatre). The show was light, musical and for sure remarkable! We enjoy our stay!

The dinner show was incredible! The service was impeccable and the dinner itself was extremely delectable. The dinner we chose was a Khmer pre set menu which gave us a good taste of wonderfully presented traditional Cambodian dishes. The dances were so talented and performed 5 acts throughout the night. Because of the rain, the show got pivoted to inside, but was just as good of a performance!
