The Park Hyatt in Siem Reap is a fantastic hotel. The rooms, facilities and food are all great but it is the staff that elevate this to one of the very best hotels I’ve stayed at. A complimentary drink and neck massage on welcome is great after a long trip. Check in is done in the comfort of the lounge, no queuing at a desk at any point during our stay. Our initial contact who deserved the highest praise was Marilyn who checked in on us throughout our stay and had lots of advice to make our stay and excursions more enjoyable. She is a credit to the hotel. The rooms are well equipped and peaceful, this despite the hotel being really well located bang in the middle of town. You almost wouldn’t realise it’s there with the small driveway but it meant being able to walk to quite a few destinations. Rooms are serviced around your requirements and were immaculate every time. Staff were friendly and meticulous. The breakfasts were great. A buffet style option with a variety of continental options as well as salads and fruit. Then there was the a la Carte menu with a nice mix of Eastern and Western options all of which were great. We found being poolside a little noisy for my wife who is a light sleeper and they found us an alternative room with no fuss at all. This is a superb hotel. When we come back to Siem Reap we will be using the Park Hyatt again.
