A staggeringly beautiful Belmond hotel...starting from the driveway on arrival. All the staff are amazing as they are at most (but not all) Belmond hotels. I've had a love/hate relationship with the Cipriani in Venice for years. Last visit we encountered a number of extremely unhelpful staff. That's why it may end up being our last visit to the Cipriani, whereas Castello di Casole is so excellent in every way that we have already booked for next year, as part of a Grand Tour of the wonderful Italian Belmond hotels. We absolutely loved every moment of our stay. Although we were told that the hotel was at full capacity it never felt busy and there were always loungers available by the pool... the entire property felt extremely relaxed. Lovely bar with Bellini cocktails actually as good as they are at Harry's Bar in Venice...in other words, exceptional. Superb live musicians were perfectly positioned with their music wafting through the restaurants, outside terraces and the bar. On our first night the two guitarists performing were brilliant. The next night was a pianist and vocalist who had the perfect repertoire and were exceptional. On our third night, we were entertained by a pianist and a guitarist. One of the many joys was sipping an after-dinner cocktail on the terrace during the glorious, clear sunsets...(no light pollution). The swimming pool is exceptional and certainly necessary for cooling off. In fact, all the facilities were simply lovely, including the tennis courts. This particular Belmond Is a destination in itself and there is no need to leave the property if you simply wish to relax. Airport transfers both to the hotel from Florence and return to Pisa airport were as good as it gets. Super driver who made a stop for us en route to Pisa for the most amazing ice creams. There is also so much to do apart from relaxing and also the most exceptional walks to discover... and that is without visiting Sienna, which is a must. While all of the ladies and gentlemen of the hotel were so welcoming we wanted to mention one particular lady who was terrific...Elisa on reception is so happy, joyous, chatty and made us feel right at home. We are hugely looking forward to our Italian Belmond grand tour next year especially returning to Castello di Casole. Havng loved most of our Belmond stays in various countries over many years...especially in Peru...this hotel is up there with the best.

We loved the beautiful views, the welcoming and warm staff, the rooms and bath with the best amenities. The breakfast buffet each morning was the most incredible. The service and warmth from everyone on staff was impeccable!

Magical place, incredible food & wonderful staff. Perfect for the full on Tuscany experience. The staff was super nice and helpful, the grounds were stunning and we loved the food. Thank you again for the incredible time! Will definitely be back!
