A palace born from a Renaissance-era portico, right on a mineral spring. A tribute to the regenerating power of thermal waters. The portico, commissioned by Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici, lies in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, amid rolling hills, cypress woods and small churches. The spectacular panoramic pools as well as the ones used for treatments and relaxation are filled with the natural heat of the thermal springs. Fonteverde is a jewel and a timeless haven where you can discover a new dimension of well-being and reach a higher level of harmony with the Equilibrium method. Relax at our resort and spa in Tuscany, where the unmistakable style of Italian hospitality meets the essence of pure wellness.

Fonteverde is a wonderful spa hotel located in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, set within a historic Medici residence. To be completely fair, the historic building represents only part of the hotel, while the rest is a modern structure that blends harmoniously with the original residence. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well furnished, with extremely comfortable beds. The level of service is excellent and fully in line with what one would expect from a five-star hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is also very beautiful, was of a high standard. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, including healthy options, and the wine list is excellent. Breakfast was outstanding as well, and I would especially like to highlight the quality of the croissants. Finally, the spa deserves special mention. The facilities are also open to external guests, except for one pool reserved exclusively for hotel guests. There are numerous indoor and outdoor pools, all very enjoyable. The Etruscan path is particularly pleasant and includes a sauna, Turkish bath, salt cave, and Kneipp path. The spa services are also of excellent quality. Overall, it was a perfect weekend dedicated to relaxation and self-care. Prices are appropriate for the level of service offered.

Fonteverde in San Casciano dei Bagni is an absolute dream. The thermal pools are incredibly relaxing, the views over the Tuscan countryside are stunning, and the whole place feels calm and luxurious. Perfect spot to slow down, unwind, and rechargeee!!

I have slightly mixed feelings about the hotel. Fabulous Tuscan location, surrounded by olives and vineyards but beware it’s quite remote( which is not a negative just worth noting). Spa facilities are fantastic with natural (and really hot) thermal water but the hotel itself could have been better. This hotel belongs to the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ group (or is a member of) but neither rooms nor restaurant were really up to standard. The bathroom / bedroom were dated and for sure needed updating and bedding was not good enough. Restaurant staff were great but food lacked attention to detail and real quality. Two examples: on one of the evenings we selected beetroot dish with Greek Yoghurt and some Greens- they left off the Greek yogurt but said nothing and also on one of the evenings served wine with a very noticeable chip in one of the glasses. Enjoyed the stay- would I go back again, probably not!

Nice hotel, but very poor food. Friendly staff and great concierge, but severely understaffed. Breakfast was dull, and the pool “menu” consisted of a hot sandwich or a bland salad. Rooms and pool area are nice (4.5/5), but the food drags everything down. At dinner, all starters were so uninspired I skipped them entirely. I asked for my main course to be served with everyone else’s, but it arrived way too early. Another main course was forgotten — and the kitchen closed. Overall a good stay thanks to a fantastic restaurant 500 meters away (Fontanello), not thanks to the hotel food (1/5).
