Too busy being cool to care for customer service
It's a beautiful hotel in a vibrant, happening location and not in the touristy areas. That's a good thing. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows that add to the sense of space in the room. Our check in process was pleasant enough. It took forever for the agent to take down all the required information so it felt like we stood there for a long time. Each passport number was manually typed in the computer- for such a high tech city, and hotel brand, I was surprised they don't use scanners for that. Food we ate at the restaurant was very good- simple, fresh, flavorful. What was lacking for me was the overall customer service. Especially at the restaurant, but not only. Staff walk by you and don't look at you. I was standing at the lift with a staff member who rushed into it as soon as the door opened, rather than letting me in first. Over the weekend, there was a young person standing at the front desk, smiling to us each time we walked by but never struck a conversation, asking how our stay was or offering any assistance. We did not have a warm and comfortable feeling at this hotel like at other Andaz hotels around the world. Service at the restaurant was the worse- Always felt rushed, unkind and uncaring. staff gave us different information for the same question and there were too many mistakes for a 5 star hotel restaurant that was never too busy.

Modern and sleek rooms with great service
The rooms are well equipped and spacious, the amenities sufficient and well maintained. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly.

Well located
The hotel staff were friendly and nice. The rooms were really nice and well kept and meets my expectations. The thing that I really liked was that the hotel is connected to the MRT station through the basement which made it convenient for me to catch train and move around Singapore. The hotel is situated minutes away from Bugis Street Market, which is great!

the hotel has a very good view and the room services were excellent. The staff were very proactive. The only issue was the check in timing.

Nice location
We had a great time at Andaz. The only issue is the weird smell outside of the room towards the elevator. It seem it’s a humidity issue ! Other than that, the location is great . 5 mins walk to kampong glam community . Haji lane is 4 mins
