Reviews for The Fullerton Hotel Singapore

fool's gold

sadly a suprisingly disappointing stay stayed here several nights, very very busy hotel, previously hotel was a post office, seems like they have continued the theme as lobby was like a bus stop, people everywhere. lots of staff, but no one every opened the doors or greated us, i assume they cant identify guests from photographers in the entrance/lobby impossible to make any interactions with any staff as everything was so busy, hence a totally impersonal stay no comfy armchairs/sofa to sit, only conference room chairs... hence you are either in your room, or out the hotel, such a shame as if they had some big comfy sofa's you could sit in the lobby and spend money and people watch breakfast was the worst, all the food was low quality, Dim Sum tasted like a low grade sausage. pastrys didnt taste like they were baked on site, very sugary flavour i was looking forward to a laksa, they do a DIY version, yet no boiled egg, no beansprouts, instead, tomato, peppers and cabbage, , even the broth was watery, i really dont understand this, these are not laksa ingredients..... Also the one prawn only they do give you is completely shelled, hence they want you to de-shell with laksa soup spraying everywhere. Apart from the fresh juice and Kopi station, i liiterally forfieted brekkie and went to Hong Lim Food Court for some outstanding food instead i dont like the fact there is no plastic bottle to drink from in the room, i understand the reason, but at night i might knock over the free glass cup hotel bear for the kids, $23 SGD, apparently money is for charity..... 3 * 's given as they do have a nice room (inc japanese toilet) and really good location to a MTR station, Boat Quay and Maxwell & Hong Lim food centres this is average 4* hotel impostering as a high end 5* hotel

Straits Club room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We arrived early and the room was not ready, so we were taken to the Straits Club lounge to enjoy afternoon tea (lounge access was part of our room rate). From the Straits Club, check in was seamless as the team took care to check us in the moment the room was ready whilst we were enjoying tea time. There were a good variety of food selections at the Strait Club lounge and the champagne pours at evening canapes were very generous. It was nice to have breakfast there, away from the hustle and bustle of the Town Restaurant, where a fuller selection of food was available. I found that the Straits Club lounge edged out the Town Restaurant in terms of personal service, a quieter experience and the ability to have some a la carte selections. The buffet food selection at the Straits Club whilst smaller, was enough. Ambi and her team were great ambassadors for the Fullerton and Singapore, as they engaged guests in pointing out suitable places of attraction, and made suggestions which would made their stays more comfortable.

Excellent hotel great Singapore location

A very excellent hotel in a good location in the vibrant city of Singapore. We were helped by the concierge with dinner reservations and activities for our two brief stay at this hotel. I think this is an excellent hotel and would highly recommend it to be considered if you plan to stay in Singapore.

Lovely hotel, great rooms and service. Breakfast is okay, lots of choice but the atmosphere isn’t very enjoyable. Location is amazing.
