A most FAN-tastic HAUS

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

I am writing to thank the MOSIN team for another fabulous stay. I have had the privilege of staying at your wonderful property on numerous occasions but this was my first experience of your Haus 65 offering and I was blown away by it. Many hotels claim an executive lounge offering but this one was probably one of the strongest I have seen. The space was like the living room of your billionaire friend, except it was manned by an incredible team of hospitable associates and filled with restaurant-quality F&B temptations throughout the day! I know the Mandarin does not do anything half-heartedly and this is another prime example of your ethos of delivering only the best for your guests (and Fans!). First and foremost, kudos to your entire team, not just at Haus 65 but also throughout the hotel. They are the brightest stars and the reason why I keep coming back to the MOSIN. The Haus 65 associates in particular deserve special mention. Their ability to remember every guest’s name and preference is admirable (even though it was my first stay) and their consistent, attentive yet discreet service is rare in the current hospitality environment when the sector is facing manpower shortages/inadequately trained staff. I never had to ask for anything more than once and my requests were always met with accommodating smiles and light-speed delivery. No wonder I often see guests using the Haus lounge as an extension of their living space, settling in with a good book or engaging in some lively conversations! As I mentioned above, the F&B offering is fantastic – and the danger is guests see no need to venture outside the lounge for our sustenance (despite the great food scene in Singapore)! My traditional breakfast of nasi lemak was perfectly executed – up there with the best “makcik” versions while the kaya brioche added an elegant twist to a local favourite. Afternoon tea delights of cream scones, sweet treats and savory sandwiches offered a welcome respite from the afternoon heat. And while I did not indulge in the evening cocktails buffet, it took all my willpower to resist filling up a plate of the aromatic Indian banquet of curries, rice, breads and desserts! Compliments to the chef for spinning out cuisines from all corners of our delicious Earth! As you can tell, you now have a diehard Fan of your Haus so you may find a persistent visitor trying to get in from time to time! Thank you for another wonderful residential experience and I am looking forward to being back soon!

Another great stay.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I’ve just spent another lovely four nights at the Mandarin. This time, I had a Marina Bay room which was lovely but a little noisier than my stay last time on the other side, maybe due to the construction opposite. The staff were great, the little turn down touches and gift on arrival makes the experience extra special. The pool staff were also really friendly and looked after me well. Overall, the experience was great and four nights just weren’t long enough. Better start planning my next trip!

Embu Korean food dinner

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Had dinner here today with family during their Korean food dinner, food is all amazing and staff is very friendly. Especially Kei, Ganes and Chef Izam which are all super friendly and provided great service. I've been to multiple hotel buffets and would highly recommend this one. Great value for money.

Wonderful stay minus the AC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Overall had an excellent stay at this hotel for 3 nights for our honeymoon. The rooms themselves are very nice. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are nice with large bathtub and shower. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool itself and staff were also great. Unfortunately there is city construction going on which made the environment a little noisy, but we still found it relaxing and a nice escape from the heat. Gym facilities are great. Location is wonderful and easy to get to main areas of the city. Our main issue with the hotel was the air conditioning. The first room we were placed in we spent one night. The next day we noticed a very pungent mildew/musty smell coming from the AC. Additionally the bedspread and our clothing/the room had a damp quality to it from the AC. The AC was not particularly cold either. We notified staff who sent someone to check it, when we returned to our room later it felt/smelled the same, when we checked with the front desk staff we were told the engineer found no issue with our room. We requested to switch rooms which was granted. While our new room had a much less offensive odor (although slightly noticeable), the AC was still was not very strong and the room was still damp as evidenced by the fact that none of our clothes would dry and the comforter would feel damp at night. Based on reading prior reviews while we were dealing with this situation, the AC problems seem to be well-established in the hotel, but the staff we spoke to behaved as if this had never been an issue before. I do think if they could figure out a way to improve their HVAC system it would drastically improve the guest experience at their hotel, because it was an otherwise incredible place to stay!
