Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

Not our first visit to the hotel. Our previous trip was slightly spoiled by the ongoing construction in the Bay area with a lot of pile driving as they sought to reclaim land. When we arrived back we had expected the work to be completed but no they were still building. However, no pile driving this time so no disturbance. So, don’t be alarmed when you arrive and see a full scale construction site opposite the hotel - you will not be disturbed. Okay, the hotel itself is a great place to stay, the rooms are really well appointed and they reservation team (and all the staff members) go out of their way to make sure your every wish is accommodated. I would at this point give a shout out for Milo in the housekeeping team. Great young man with an interesting back story. He could not have been more helpful. MO cherish him he’s one to develop. HAUS 65 is money well spent, they under describe the evening food offering — it’s a full meal with lots of options and a 10 night cycle so you’re unlikely to get the same offering twice in your visit. The team there, Andrew, Albert, Timothy,Debbie,Jaya and Sera, were always on hand and all poured a great glass (or 3) of champagne. Okay, it’s not the least expensive place in town but great value, great service and really nice people. We’ll be back. Forbes and Lesley Gallagher

This is a truly remarkable hotel. A few things to share: The style of the decor throughout the hotel - warm, contemporary, vibrant - a brilliant mixture of classic and modern. The attentiveness of all the staff - so courteous and warm, striking that perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism The (exquisitely decorated) Haus 65 lounge and services with its generous, varied and tasty food choices, all presented beautifully. The fact that champagne was served so generously spoke to the luxury and exclusiveness of the lounge. The way the team there were always present but in such a subtle, understated, discrete way - it was pure class. They remembered our names and stood up when you entered the lounge - such small touches but what an impact it has on helping you to feel really special and important. My husband and I agreed that this is the best hotel club lounge experience we've ever had. The beautifully clean and stylish suite with the incredible views. The only thing we'd change if we could was the amount of storage space available. We had two weeks worth of luggage and had to keep a lot of our belongings in our cases. As the first stop on our honeymoon, this was a perfect haven for us. We'd go back again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU MOSIN TEAM!
