Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore

We have stayed at Pan Pacific Hotels several times before and always had good experiences, especially with the Pacific Club. This time, we decided to try the Pacific Club Balcony Loft at Pan Pacific Orchard. Upon arrival, we noticed that the lobby area was relatively small and compact. As a result, the check-in process felt slightly messy and unorganised, despite a staff member present to manage the area. It might help to have more counters open and a proper queuing system in place—just a suggestion. Nonetheless, we were warmly welcomed by Rashidah, who displayed great hospitality and professionalism. She patiently walked us through the club benefits and facilities, and we appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the birthday cake and the attention to our special requests made prior to the stay. The room was clean, cosy, and tastefully designed, though slightly on the smaller side. One observation is that there didn’t seem to be a proper space or holder for storing baggage, which may be inconvenient for guests, especially tourists. We did appreciate the inclusion of Chromecast on the TV. Afternoon tea, served from 3pm to 5pm at the Pacific Club on Level 11, featured a decent selection of sandwiches, wraps and finger food. Evening cocktails and canapés, served between 6pm and 8pm, included four hot items such as vegetable fried rice, chilli crab sauce with fried mantou (with deshelled crab meat), steamed scallop dumplings, and fried mid wings. There is also a separate cocktail menu where drinks are freshly prepared upon order. Special shout-out to Ms Pushpa, Jenny, and the crew for their warm hospitality and prompt service! Breakfast, served from 6.30am to 10.30am, offered a mix of self-serve buffet options with simple Western dishes and à la carte items featuring mostly local delicacies. Special thanks as well to the lovely Korean ladies for their warm service. As always, the Pan Pacific team did not disappoint. We left impressed once again and will definitely return in the future, especially for the Pacific Club experience.

Had been wanting to stay at the refurbished hotel for a while, especially witnessing gorgeous photos of them in numerous media articles when they won the Outstanding Sustainable Hospitality Innovation in luxury urban tourism. Thought it'll be an opportune timing to celebrate our wedding anniversary here where we held our wedding reception (a different building back then!) over a decade ago and while the kids were having their summer holidays. Loved their Deluxe Town Bedroom at Beach Terrace levels, which we found out to have the best view of both Orchard Road and the seaside resort style pool, being at the end of the building's iconic L-shaped design. The tranquil vibes here helped us to completely relax at the end of a day of exploring and shopping just a few hundred metres away. We explored each terrace and must say that - Florette bar at Garden Terrace seemed like a relaxing place to chill with friends, and the Claymore Ballroom looked like it would make for a picturesque garden-themed wedding reception with a view! Mosella, serving Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern Peruvian cuisine after the daily breakfast buffet timing, was also impressive and welcoming with plenty of natural light streaming in from its three floors of full glass windows facing the outdoor pools. Every staff we met, from Joelle the reception manager, Jack the executive housekeeper to the bellhop, the pool staff, the poolside bartender and duty manager at our breakfast at Mosella - they were always friendly in making conversations and attentive, politely asking if we need anything every time we were passing by. We felt very well taken care of with their personable service. Overall, enjoyed both the beauty and hospitality of this hotel. We were also thankful for a better price when we booked through Pac Pacific's GHA membership. (small gripe - the drinks at Pacific Breeze could do better... all five drinks we ordered tasted off, not spoilt, but didn't taste like what they should e.g. Coconut Latte had no hints of coconut, Strawberry Matcha had an overpowering amount of matcha powder, etc.)

From the minute we arrived the concierge picked up our suitcases from the taxi before we could lift a finger. The foyer area already showed the level of excellence in architecture and this flowed through to our Level 9 room with exceptional view on to the pool area. Having been in quite a few hotels around the world I have to say the service and picturesque views was above & beyond our expectations. Our concierge Ruban explained how to operate the automated features in the room with enthusiasm and taking servicing to another level. Much appreciated and highly recommend the Pan Pacific Group after receiving similar experience at the Park Royal Collection in Malaysia.

Every morning we came to breakfast, and she remembered our names and even our order. She was professional and very warm.

Thank you Sofia and team for the amazing front of house service. Everyone was so friendly and it is obvious that the team had put in a lot of effort to make the hotel feel welcoming. The design of the hotel is truly unique.
