Raffles Hotel in Singapore is iconic… And for good reason. The decadent experience starts with the wonderfully adorned doorman and finishes with…the doorman opening the door to our complimentary chauffeured ride across town. Walking down the red carpet into the amazing foyer with it’s beautiful marble, exquisite flower arrangement and immensely beautiful chandelier… You could think you’d walked into the Taj Mahal. There are no tigers here anymore just a haven or serenity, exquisite service, lush gardens and a very special aura. This is an oasis in a bustling Asian metropolis, the doorman, fending off jealous tourists with charm and sincerity. We were upgraded to a Palm Court suite, richly decorated in the very finest materials. The marble bathrooms, four poster bed, complimentary fine chocolates, and petit fours all exceptional. Breakfast around the fountain was a highlight, Butcher’s Block worthy of its Michelin Star and the Long bar heaving with tourists devouring Singapore Slings wishing they were staying. The Writers Bar was exceptional. Surrounded by literary history including the likes of Somerset Maughan, Joseph Conrad and JK Rowling. With these cocktails in hand, you could write an odyssey. A special thank you to Dominic who looked after us so well when we had breakfast in the courtyard and Vania, our wonderful butler. The Raffles name is legendary in Singapore and Raffles Hotel is the jewel in its crown. SUPERB. In. Every. Way!!!

We recently stayed in the beautiful timeless Raffles Hotel Singapore and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and elegant, the staff are lovely and will look after every whim. Vikram the Sikh Doorman set the tone when he welcomed us and was very kind every time we walked past. The Tiffin Resturant served some amazing curry and is highly recommended and pay a visit to the long bar. The Singapore sling was okay but the atmosphere and vibe were wonderful. Make sure you get to spin the contraption that they use the make the cocktail.

Our return to this most gorgeous of hotels started with a greeting by the iconic Sikh doormen, led by Vikram. Immaculately bedecked in their traditional uniforms, warmly smiling as they ushered us inside. This set tone for the incredible service we received during our stay. The concierge staff effortlessly checked my wife and I in, followed by the porter Alan merrily taking our luggage and guiding us to our suite. Upon reaching our suite, we had the pleasure of meeting our butlers Kartini, Avril, Lin J̌ie & Hui Xin. This fantastic team attended to all of our requests, graciously and professionally, to the very highest standard. The suite in question was the Rudyard Kipling. A resplendent room, upholstered finely yet tastefully. The bedding in particular was frankly incredible, granting some of the best sleeps I've ever had. Also worth highlighting is the luxurious bathroom, crafted with exquisite polished marble. Truly a home away from home! The food provided at the Tiffin Room restaurant was first class. As a man who isn't one for spice, the Indian cuisine was the perfect blend of taste and playful heat. And what visit to Raffles Singapore would be complete without a customary visit to its world famous Long Bar. Many a infamously delectable Singapore Slings were had, served by a world class waiting team. Arushna and Kishen led the way to provide a flow of drinks with a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel, is naturally, a delight to behold. Constructed in that ever iconic colonial design and lovingly restored, whilst also being outfitted with the modern amenities, that strikes the balance between heritage and comfort. Truly, it is the finest hotel in the world!

I joined the Heritage Tour at Raffles Hotel Singapore, open to general visitors. Our resident historian, Nazir gave us a wonderful and detailed guided tour, taking us not only through the public spaces but also into the exclusive, in-house guest areas. The tour was filled with fascinating history and captivating stories about the hotel, and the time just flew by. It was truly a magical experience that made me love this dream hotel even more. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Singapore!
