We recently joined the Heritage Tour at Raffles Hotel Singapore hosted by Resident Historian Nazir Yusof, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences from our Singapore visit. As we were the only guests booked for the session, the entire tour felt incredibly private, exclusive and privileged. Nazir, who has worked at the hotel for 25 years, was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Raffles Hotel. His storytelling brought the hotel to life. What made the experience truly special was how he connected historical photographs with the actual locations around the hotel, allowing us to visualise the stories and transformations over the decades. He even brought us into several “Residents Only” areas, which made the tour feel even more unique and personal. Nazir’s deep familiarity with the rooms, architecture and evolution of the hotel was fascinating. You could immediately tell he genuinely loves the property and takes pride in preserving its legacy. At the beginning of the tour, we received a beautifully presented jar of Kaya in an elegant Raffles Hotel gift bag — a thoughtful keepsake that I will treasure for a very long time. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a 10% dining discount for the hotel’s food outlets with no expiration date. The tour lasted approximately 45 minutes and was very well paced. One recommendation for future guests: Singapore’s weather can be extremely hot and humid, so unless you are comfortable dining outdoors, I would suggest booking the heritage tour only rather than the lunch package, as lunch is served in the outdoor courtyard. Overall, this was a refined, intimate and highly worthwhile experience for anyone who appreciates heritage, storytelling and iconic hospitality.

Afternoon tea at Raffles was a fantastic experience, but made even better by LuLu, who was attentive, knowledgeable and just a real ray of sunshine. She graciously listened to us talk while we drank some beautiful champagne with the most gorgeous selection of sandwiches and cakes, and the scones were melt in the mouth. Beautiful location and atmosphere but we want to thank LuLu from the bottom of our hearts for making our honeymoon treat extra special

Raffles is known around the world as an iconic destination and it’s so much more than that! It’s incredible! From the moment we were met by Vikram and Happy on the red carpet entrance, we knew we were in for a treat! We then met Amir and Our lovely Roshni who both checked us in. When I say check in, it’s so much more than that! You really are a VIP for your stay! The rooms and butler team are fabulous, The hotel rooms are both, luxurious and comfortable with a perfect mix of traditional style with modern luxury. We had dinner in the Tiffin restaurant which was lovely and of course a few Singapore slings in the long room! We loved the roof top pool and bar and the atmosphere! Every time we came back in the hotel we bumped into to Roshni and the ambassadors and everyone makes you feel like a VIP! We love the hall of fame too! What an incredible experience, because that is what staying at Raffles is, it’s an experience! We would recommend anyone to stay here, it will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will be back next year or the year after! Thank you Raffles and lovely Roshni … until we meet again!
