We visited Raffles to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Our first stop was the iconic Long Bar, where we enjoyed the famous Singapore Sling. Raj provided outstanding service and made the occasion feel even more memorable. Later, we returned for afternoon tea, which was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were consistently attentive — Lu Lu and the ever‑smiling Happy Doorman deserve special mention for their warmth and hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel genuinely celebrated throughout our visit. The food was superb, exactly what you would expect from Raffles, and the atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming. It was the perfect way to mark such an important milestone, and we left with wonderful memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy world‑class service and a truly unforgettable experience.

Each time we return to Raffles we are more impressed than the last. It seems to have settled into a rhythm whereby every aspect of the hotel is clam and luxurious. The transfer from the airport and greeting immediately set us on 'Raffles time', ie: time to relax and breathe deeply. Our traditional first activity whilst unpacking is to order the wonderful chicken rice on room service and sit outside the palm court room on the verandah and have a Singapore sling. Bliss. Speaking of the Palm Court suites...how magnificent they are. A huge amount of space and they look as if they were completed yesterday. Everything is pristine and gleams. The in room technology is simple to use and ensures a quiet, temperature controlled deep sleep. We always visit the Tiffin room for dinner and it always impresses. We have observed the sommelier growing in skill and confidence over the past 4 years. If you love wine, ask for his recommendations. He maintains a seperate , larger list of some truly fabulous vintages. This is a 'must do'. We had 4 nights at Raffles on this occasion and decided to have an afternoon in the spa. One of the best treatments we have enjoyed and , like the rest of Raffles...the spa facilities were spotless and ticked the box for quiet luxury. The pool area is now reflecting the standards of Raffles and the new furniture and established gardens have improved the experience immensely. We relaxed by the pool every day. It has been said many times before but we must reinforce, Raffles is unlike any other hotel. It is breathtakingly elegant and so refined. One of the few hotels in the world that we feel genuinely sad to leave...but happy to have been fortunate enough to experience once more.

Harpreet was an excellent, friendly and knowledgeable doorman very smartly dressed. We had a drink at the long bar which was lovely.
