Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Some one pooed in the pool and closed it for the entire day. And don’t forget your physical credit card…you can’t do anything in the hotel in terms of charging without it! It’s 2026….get digital Shangri La!!!!

We booked the Shangri-La for 3 nights for our honeymoon. We opted for the Valley Wing and were so glad we did. Do not book the other two wings - this one is exceptional. We arrived at 10am and our room was already ready. We had a deluxe Double. Check in was very easy and a private entrance meant it was peaceful and quiet. We were shown to our room and it was spacious and immaculate. A lovely little letter to welcome us. The benefit of staying in the Valley Wing means you have access to numerous inclusive benefits. A complimentary champagne afternoon tea each day from 2pm, complimentary (and exceptional) canapés at 5pm. Then complimentary drinks in the lobby bar until 10pm. The champagne is free flowing (Veuve Cliquot) and other cocktails and drinks are all included as well. The service is impeccable and it really made our first 3 nights of our honeymoon. It has been a wonderful and memorable stay in Singapore. Absolutely nothing to fault. Keep it up.

A stylish and elegant hotel with luxurious and comfy rooms and close to the Orchard Road shopping district (we walked but there is a shuttle bus available). Breakfast is incredible, with so much choice from a buffet of everything you could possibly think of. The large pool area is fantastic for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle, and staff are so friendly and helpful too. Thank you for a wonderful stay for my birthday and our 20th anniversary!

We don't know where to start in recommending such a beautiful hotel as the Shangri-La, Orchard Road. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by doormen, dressed in splendid Tibetan Warrior costumes, to the week that ensued in and around the hotel was superb. Every member of staff we encountered was so helpful and so friendly, nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we, as guests, enjoyed our stay. From advice on the best places to sightsee and the best way to get around the city, to ensuring a table of five for breakfast each morning was fabulous. All the staff from the Reception Desk, Concierge Desk and in the dining rooms were efficient, caring and engaging. We couldn't have asked for more. A special shout out to the Concierge Desk when we experienced an ultimate service above and beyond when they tracked down and arranged the safe return of a bracelet lost in the famous Raffles Bar on the very same day. Our experience at the hotel was enhanced by a number of things including the club like atmosphere of the Origin Bar in the evenings and the thunder and lightening warning system alerts by the swimming pool. Safety was paramount. The crowning glory was the arrival of two tropical Hornbills eating grapes on our balcony one late afternoon. Unheard of and the most incredible and special sighting ever. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of the staff to ensure that guests enjoyed their stay. We certainly did, it was quite wonderful. Thank you!

Spent 10 wonderful days in the Valley Wing - highly recommendable 👍 Breakfast in the Summit room very delicious. Feta, Danish & Sam attending to your every needs. Forgot the name of the other team.
