Almost 5-star experience Extremely kid friendly hotel. Highlights: extremely courteous, professional, approachable staff. Some stand outs were Ravi and Wency. Very kid friendly with a wonderful kids club/playroom and water park, and thoughtful welcome bag. This included a fun ‘scavenger hunt’ activity sheet, which required the kid to explore the hotel grounds and speak to staff to fill in the answers. Great way to get familiar with the hotel. Breakfast buffet - one of the better breakfast buffets. So much choice! Staff were a little slow with clearing tables though. Same at lunch time, it gets busy and they seem a bit understaffed in the main restaurant. Lobby lounge - had lunch there. Beautiful and comfortable decor, massively high ceilings. Food was beautifully presented. The bak kut teh was delicious. Great service. Gym - one the better hotel gyms I’ve been to! It’s huge! 7 treadmills, 7 elliptical, 3 bikes and all the usual weights and cable machines. There were also kettlebells, fit balls, and resistance bands. And even has a zero runner machine. Never seen one of those before. And a designated stretch area. Really appreciate how spacious and clean it was. Pools - great for kids and families. The pool towels have a little hood to go over the lounger. So clever. The water park for the kids was amazing for younger kids. Kids club ‘buds’ was amazing. There is a huge ball pool and obstacle course/climbing frames, music room with piano, drums, cymbals and karaoke machine, and a big art room for painting (inc painting on the walls). There’s also a kids kitchen for cooking classes for ages 5+ Minor annoyances: Tried to do the mobile check in but frustratingly wasn’t able to scan the passport page. The wardrobe sliding door came off the hinge but it was repaired within the day. Check in was a bit slow, but courteous Upon arrival, the safe battery was faulty (unable to lock) but the staff dealt it with it promptly. Within the same day, it started to constantly beep. The technician arrived quickly and was able to fix it within 30 mins. However by day 4, we had to call for repair 3 more times. In the end we asked that it be replaced as it was clearly faulty, but it never was. Very frustrating that there was no follow up. Room: spacious and clean. Hotel grounds. There is a fruit, herb and vegetable garden. It was a great activity to explore it with my kid, especially for educational purposes. There’s a lovely koi pond and waterfall garden, and The Orchid was very pretty.

As a Singaporean who lives abroad, Shangri-La Singapore is my first choice whenever I come back to visit friends and family. I have stayed at many of the other 5-star hotels in Singapore, and have found the majority of them to be either hilariously small for a supposed luxury experience, generally inconsistent with their room quality, or experiencing teething issues from a constant turnover of employees. While I primarily collect loyalty points at the other major hotel loyalty programs, I stay at Shangri-La Singapore often enough to qualify for a Shangri-La Jade membership entirely from my stays at this hotel alone. My favorite thing about this hotel is how dependable and consistent it is: their spacious rooms are always sparkling clean so I never have to worry about any nasty surprises when it comes to bed-linens, and its seasoned staff always know exactly what to do and how to handle any situation. This is a 5-star hotel that actually knows how to provide a 5-star experience. A special shout-out to Jega from the concierge team, who always receives me with a warm welcome home whenever I arrive late at night from my flight! I had a bit of an issue with my booking during my last visit, but it was handled graciously by the reception staff as well and for that I am very appreciative. Already looking forward to my next stay! (Added bonus of the hotel: the gym is 24 hours! I love being able to fit in a workout at the end of my day without any rush.)

Beautiful resort, well maintained gardens, and spacious rooms. Great kids facilities, however the additional fees for buds seemed a bit too high- would be great for it to be included or discounted for hotel guests. Our room attendant, Warren was particularly lovely and attentive.

The most luxurious experience of my life!!! I had this hotel booked as a birthday treat for me from my boyfriend and the room attendant Warren made my birthday stay super special giving me a complimentary chocolate birthday cake with a lovely written birthday message from the Shangri-La hotel wishing me a lovely day and stay with them. At breakfast the ladies sang happy birthday to me and made me feel really spoilt whilst taking a Polaroid picture of me that I can keep with me when I go home. When asking the concierge if they had any merchandise that I could have as a keepsake for my stay here he went out of his way to find me Shangri-La pens and the most beautiful flower printed envelopes with free ice tea drinks. All in all the best experience, especially on my birthday!

We stayed for 6 days in the Tower Wing of Shangri-La and loved every minute of our stay. We were travelling with a toddler and an infant and had asked for a quite a few customisations (extra toddler bed, late check out, birthday celebration, etc.) all of which were fulfilled. Splash and Buds were probably the highlights of the stay for my toddler. The staff were friendly across the different facilities, starting from the main entrance to the reception and every amenity / restaurant. ‘The Line’ got busy between 8:30 to 10, but had a good buffet spread while the evening tea in the Horizon club lounge was very enjoyable. Location was convenient with the busy part of Orchard Road being in close proximity, though MRT is slightly far. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place!
