Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Fabulous experience as always from the Shangri La chain. Smooth check in from reception staff that were accommodating & helpful. We only stayed 1 night enroute to London but it was a lovely way to break the trip up from Australia. We enjoyed the ample options of breakfast in Line, a scrumptious coffee & cake in the lobby lounge & topped it off with a sensational meal in the Italian restaurant. Room was very comfortable, had all the usual high grade amenities. A restful sleep & great view. Spent a relaxing day in the pool, comfortable sun lounges & huge pool with excellent water quality. Cannot fault a thing, would absolutely return & highly recommend to others for a great stay.

Wonderful stay with 3 night stay with Horizon access. Everything was great-food choice, cleanliness & hygiene and staff friendly personalities. We knew it was a very classy hotel when the Australian GG was also staying there! Staff were fantastic, especially Mark from Concierge who listened to my predicament, attempted one solution then resolved our issue with his awesome customer focus. He went above and beyond with helping us-thanks again Mark! Didn’t know about shuttle bus until our last day but we enjoyed the short walk to Orchard anyway. The health and fitness areas were exceptional.

Stayed at Shangri-La Singapore and had a very nice experience overall. The welcome from the staff was warm and professional – a thoughtful goody kit with colouring items and soft toys was provided for the children, which set the tone for a well-considered stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with efficient air conditioning. A high-quality cot was also provided, which was sturdy and in excellent condition. Breakfast offered a broad range of options, though it could get quite busy during peak times. (Guests are asked to sign an indemnity form if taking food out of the breakfast area). One area for improvement would be the speed of table clearing during busy periods. The pool was a good size and well maintained, with staff readily available to help find loungers. The kids club was excellent – especially the soft play area, which the little ones absolutely loved. It was a challenge trying to get them out! Staff were attentive throughout and even called us when our child felt hungry, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The in-house restaurants served consistently high-quality food and were a real highlight of the stay. The doormen deserve a special mention – they were consistently friendly, vigilant, and helpful. They assisted with doors and luggage, took down details of our Grab drivers, and then alerted us when the cars arrived so we didn’t have to wait outside in the heat. It made getting around much more convenient and comfortable. Given the number of guests and the scale of the property, it does lack the personal touch that would elevate it to a true five-star experience. Service is professional and efficient, but understandably stretched at times. Overall, a nice and well-rounded stay with great facilities for families. Would be happy to return.

Our recent stay at Shangri-La Singapore kicked off in the early hours, and right from the start, the warm welcome set a delightful tone. Arriving well before check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with breakfast vouchers, a lovely beginning to our day. I still clearly remember sipping afternoon tea at 'The Rose Veranda' years ago, looking out at the magnificent pool and grand lobby, promising myself I'd return someday. True to form, Shangri-La Singapore, much like its counterparts we've visited in Boracay, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Sentosa, didn't disappoint. With a young child in tow, we opted for a five-night stay in the Valley Wing, as the Horizon Club only permits children on weekends. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The exceptionally warm and refined hospitality from the lounge staff, especially Raja, made our stay truly special and comfortable. It was a luxurious escape we won't soon forget.

Stayed here 6 days/5 nights. Beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice pool outside in the (big) garden. Friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is enormous and of good quality. I stayed in Singapore for business travel and can definitely recommend this hotel.
