Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

This hotel is so amazing for families with young children.my daughter is 5 and I have no doubts that this will be one of her core memories. This children play area kept my daughter wanting more. The staff was accommodating and super friendly. Gracia greeted us as we walked in, and even checked up on us before we left to make sure everything was good. Housekeeping made sure our room was pristine. I'm really out of superlatives to describe this place. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend it to friends and families with kids.

Despite very rarely writing reviews, after recently returning from a 9 night stay at the Shangri-La Singapore with my wife, I felt I had to do this one and couldn't praise the hotel highly enough! Set in its own immaculately maintained large private gardens, with verdant tropical plants, waterfalls, natural pools, everything about the hotel is impressive; from the design of the vast, but welcoming, lobby to the cleanliness and attentive service: even down to the very helpful (and ever-present) doormen in traditional dress. Our package, in a Garden Wing room, included complimentary fruit, wine and hand-made chocolates to greet us in the spacious and tastefully designed room which had an impressive city view and a balcony large enough for a cocktail party! Like the rest of the hotel the room exuded quiet elegance and attention to detail. Also included was complimentary buffet breakfast in the hotel's "The Line" restaurant - the excellent quality of food and choice was phenomenal with the service swift and superb. We also enjoyed a magnificent afternoon tea of numerous delicate courses in "The Rose Veranda" which, for me, included a Pavé Steak (the best I have ever tasted) cooked to succulent perfection. The large swimming pool (with lifeguards), set in the gardens adjacent to the hotel, was surrounded by more than enough sunloungers and parasols for all, with fresh towels, suntan lotion, cold flannels and even occasionally water melon on offer. Opening from 06:00 to 20:00 we often enjoyed an early morning dip before breakfast. The poolside food and drink service was also very attentive and efficient. To sum up, our stay was memorable for all the best reasons and is one we are keen to repeat. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough and have joined the Shangri-La Circle loyalty scheme in anticipation of returning. So thank you to all at the Shangri-La, Singapore since the hotel certainly lives up to its name!

I have stay at the Shangri-La often for business travel. This particular trip was made more like a vacation thanks to the wonderful care and feeding by the poolside staff. I would like to call out Ravi, Sati and team for a job well done. You never know who you are entertaining or what is going on in their lives. You make a difference.

We just had the best birthday party experience ever for our daughter! A big shout to Eva, Kat, Rayyan, Rajesh, Gwen, Shainelle and Eunice for making the party such a memorable and amazing one for us and our guests! From the party planning to the actual day experience, the whole experience was extremely pleasant and smooth sailing as everyone was very patient and well attentive to all our needs. The party team took great initiative to ensure that everyone was at home! It made all of us very comfortable and provided a safe environment for the children to play in. We also engaged a balloon sculptor which definitely helped to liven the mood and ensured all the children enjoyed themselves! The food served were very delicious and the portions were well sufficient for everyone. Overall, our guests were full of praise for the whole party and were very appreciative of the efforts put in by everyone! Well done Team Buds!!

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman in a smart suit, instantly giving us the impression that this was a very special hotel. The lobby felt cozy and elegant, featuring a lounge with the familiar, refined style seen in other Shangri-La hotels around the world. Our room was equipped with modern facilities and offered a lovely city view. It had a long study desk, a carpeted floor, and a clean, spacious bathroom. The pool area was beautiful—large, lush, and surrounded by greenery, creating an oasis-like atmosphere. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of delicious choices, and the staff were attentive and helpful. I especially enjoyed spending time in the lounge, where the food was excellent and the Singapore Slings were unlimited! The only minor downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the bustling streets of Orchard—it’s either a short walk or a quick ride by taxi or Grab. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
