Conrad Singapore Orchard

The Conrad is a beautiful hotel located near Orchard Road. It's a five-star hotel and offers all the essential amenities. Every detail is meticulously thought out. The cocktails at the Basilico bar are excellent. I highly recommend staying here. It was a wonderful experience.

We finally made it back to the Conrad hotel after a cancelled visit back in 2024 and the hotel is just as fabulous as ever, with some fresh updates to the rooms. We were frequent visitors before covid and this has always been our favorite hotel due to its huge luxurious suites and amazing attentive staff. We've stayed at many other hotels in the city and nothing ever compares to this one. The front desk and housekeeping staff are always so gracious and go above and beyond for their guests. The rooms now have water dispensers in the bar area, a wonderful addition so you aren't running out to buy bottles of water. The Nespresso coffee makers are also great to have. They left a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate desserts in the room to help us celebrate a milestone birthday! The beds are so comfy, the rooms are quiet, and the views of the Singapore City are beautiful. The Conrad is well worth the price for a 5 star stay in Singapore. UPDATE July 2025 Recent stay was excellent as usual. This Hilton hotel has the best service of any Hilton we've ever stayed at; great staff, nice location and fantastic rooms. A++

From the moment we arrived until we left the Conrad Singapore Orchid exceeded our expectations. The checkin was smooth and the room amazing with the staff showing us all the amenities including the electric curtains. Our room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. With our room came access to the executive lounge. This experience was beautiful. Wonderfully prepared food, lovely surroundings and attentive staff. Really lovely. The pool was beautiful and breakfast a treat, with everyone so friendly and helpful. Really well located and easy to get around Singapore. A really wonderful stay Thank you to all the team. We stayed at the Conrad Suite on level 12 for a family celebration. This is the hotel’s top-tier suite, over 200 sqm. As a Hilton Gold member, I was grateful for the paid upgrade and had high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to what a Conrad stay should feel like. The good parts first: early check-in was available, the suite was spotless, and the team had prepared welcome touches like fruits, local snacks, a birthday cake, and a fully stocked minibar. On paper, everything looked perfect. But the basics let the experience down. The entire suite had no cups or utensils. The pantry was well stocked with Nespresso and TWG tea, but there were no mugs, espresso cups, sugar packets, or even a teaspoon. We only found out after offering tea to guests and boiling water. Housekeeping confirmed the cupboards were empty and eventually brought four mugs, some sugar, and one spoon after repeated explanations. Not something you expect at this level. Other issues added up. The aircon in the living room was erratic, with a touchpad that barely worked and temperatures that swung from freezing to warm. Drinking water was only available from the kitchen tap, so a simple late-night drink meant walking across the entire suite. There was no jug or tumbler provided to store water in the bedroom. Even the gym had no drinking water, which seemed odd for a hotel like this. Breakfast was another letdown. Basilico was full, so we were moved to the Tea Lounge. We were assured it was the same, but it was a stripped-down version missing entire sections like Indian dishes. Asking for an iced latte turned into a DIY project: a glass of ice, a cup of milk, and a long black Nespresso. The result was a diluted mess. The most disappointing part was the follow-up. I gave quick feedback about the missing cups, but the response was a cold “sorry” with an offer of late check-out. It lacked the warmth and attention to detail that defines a Conrad experience. This hotel has been a favourite since the Regent days, but this stay makes us think twice. The Conrad Suite, for the price, is not worth it. There are other options in Singapore that deliver better value and experience. The only reason this stay wasn’t a complete loss was Daniel, who has consistently gone above and beyond for us over the years.
