Conrad Singapore Orchard

Lovely hotel geared up for events and business clients. As Hilton Honors member on family vacation just felt it missed the ‘personal’ touch during my stay. The rooms are well equipped; the Lobby area is relaxing though was very busy as there were 3 weddings whilst we were there. Breakfast was varied and lots of options, well catered for vegetarians too. Central location close to MRT and within walking distance to Orchard Road.

Online reviews, photos and videos don’t do this Conrad justice, the property is special and the staff are wonderful. After a flawless check in, where my Husband mentioned the trip was a belated birthday vacation, we headed to the lounge for a drink and canapés and whilst there he was presented with a birthday cake and an impromptu rendition of ‘happy birthday’ by the staff. The room itself was spacious, modern and clean with a calming light colour palette. The bathroom is small but functional and the dual shower (normal and rainfall) was great. Air conditioning was quiet and worked well with the exception of the room getting hot during the night, not sure if it was on a movement sensor or something. Bedding was silky and the pillows really good. Breakfast at the restaurant was a highlight, we appreciated the Diamond seating area for a quiet space to eat. I can recommend the dosa, nasi lamak - especially the fried chicken, and the kaya bagel! Once again the staff here were on point, friendly and happy to discuss the variety of the buffet spread. In the evening the Manhattan bar serves up amazing, perfectly crafted cocktails that catered to us as bourbon lovers (making it rather unique in Singapore). The club lounge is a very nice space, comfortable seating and excellent service. A notable mention goes to Ramesh for greeting us warmly each evening, but all of the staff were warm and attentive. The gym has all the latest equipment including reformer Pilates and although the pool is not large the space is designed well and the service attentive making a poolside day enjoyable. The only thing missing from the hotel is a spa, based on the how excellent the staff were I would have loved to have to experienced a massage with the same level of expertise and warmth. The hotel is surprisingly well connected, walking distance to the botanical gardens and a very short walk to a MRT.

Super clean, nice staff, very good breakfast and excellent fitness centre. The only downside is the garbish truck that is operating between 12 am - 3 am and reversing on the narrow street at the North side - about an hour at a time every second night it seems. The beeping makes it difficult to sleep.

Though our check-in was smooth and we had a warm welcome by Ms. Rachel at the reception, infact entire staff thus far have been helpful and ready to assist, BUT what put me off is the hygiene, especially with regard to the baby cot, there was a pigeon feather in the cot, that put my mind to rethink of spending so much on Conrad Orchard Singapore. I understand that the hotel is running on full occupancy, but that should not be any excuse or reason to have this kind of Hygiene. I dont want to disregard the kind nature of the staff here but there shouldn't be two ways about one's child hygiene. Hope the team can look into it and work on it. Kind regards, Abizar

The hotel is older, but in excellent condition. Our room is beautiful and very clean. We are here for two weeks and have had nothing but amazing interactions with the members of the staff. The Hilton Honors team warmly welcomes us and provides an exceptional experience each day. The food is delicious.
