My favorite hotel in Singapore

This is my favorite hotel in Singapore! The location is perfect. Basically on Orchard with metro stops nearby. The rooms are great. New, clean and gorgeous. The service is top-notch in this hotel. Breakfast was a highlight of my stay. Huge variety with high quality food. Highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay at Grand Hyatt Singapore exceeded expectations from check-in to check-out. The service throughout the hotel was consistently professional, polished, and welcoming. The Grand Club experience was excellent, and breakfast in the main restaurant, StraitsKitchen was also outstanding. The staff in both areas were attentive, efficient, and clearly very well trained. One of the highlights of the property is the pool area. It is easily the best pool environment we have experienced at a city hotel. The design and landscaping make it feel much more like a resort than an urban property, especially with the beautiful setting near the pool, gym, and spa. The hotel’s location is also fantastic and makes it very convenient for exploring Singapore. Overall, this was the best hotel stay we had during our Asia trip. We would absolutely recommend Grand Hyatt Singapore to friends and family and would happily stay again on a future visit.

Not the Usual Hyatt Warmth

Service felt basic, and the room was dark and tight. Overall stay lacked warmth and didn’t deliver the familiar “welcome home” experience I usually associate with Hyatt.

Good hotel, disappointing service

My arrival experience was disappointing as there was no concierge available to assist with my luggage. I had to drag my luggage into the front desk area myself. There were several people standing and chatting in front of the desk who were not checking in. Although the front desk staff saw me, no one offered any assistance. After waiting for a while, I walked to the other side of the front desk to check in. When I asked about checking in at the Grand Club, the staff simply told me to go to level 1M without explaining or showing me how to get there. When I eventually found my way to the Grand Club, I had to wait as both staff members were busy. When one of them became free, she briefly told me that her colleague would assist me and then walked away. During the check-in process, the staff asked if I had stayed there before as there was no record, even though I have stayed at this Hyatt multiple times over the years. Unfortunately, things only got worse. I was assigned a room with an unpleasant smell. When I called for assistance, someone arrived with an air freshener, which obviously did nothing to resolve the issue. After complaining again, an air purifier was delivered to the room. By that time, I had to leave for a planned dinner. When I returned later, the smell had improved slightly but was still noticeable. I was too tired to deal with it further and went to sleep. The next morning, the smell was even worse because the purifier had been turned off overnight — it was far too noisy to leave running. Only after going back to the Grand Club early in the morning was the room finally replaced later in the afternoon, thanks to Alya. I truly appreciate Alya’s patience, professionalism, and effort in keeping me updated throughout the process. She was the only Grand Club staff member I meaningfully interacted with during my stay. In other Hyatt properties, Grand Club staff typically engage much more proactively with guests. There was also no welcome letter and no recognition of my status at all, which is surprising and disappointing for a Grand Hyatt property. Overall, the service felt poorly managed and the staff appeared inadequately trained. The only real bright spot of the stay was StraitsKitchen. The team were warm, attentive, and welcoming to every guest in the restaurant. The food spread was also excellent and easily the highlight of the stay.

Non existent communication

Had to change my booking on booking.com. Grand Hyatt 11 days later, and multiple messages just completely ignored me. Very poor and non existent customer service.
