Sofitel So Singapore

We recently booked a 3 night stay as a family 2 adults and one 11 year old child. When we arrived they said they had no record of a child. I showed them my booking but they blamed the third party booker (there seems to be some type of stand off between the two which I am hoping to get ot the bottom of) However they said firstly that they could not put another bed in the room that was booked and they offerred no other solution. Then after leaving us in the lobby for over an hour showed us to a very poor quality room which stank of mould and was so narrow you could barely get the suitcase down the long corridor into the room proper and was entirely inappropriate. They then suggested we contact our thrid party (Luxury Escapes) for a refund if we wanted one. We subsequently have done that and Luxury Escapes say that the hotel denied and refund on the bsis that they offerred us a room! This is despite QT management telling us they were fully 100% booked and had no other solution and therefore could easily relet the room give this was during F1 week). They then went on to say that they offerred to put a rollout bed in the room so they wouldn't refund. Please note this was after over an hour of them insisting they could not put one in there assuring us they were completely unable to put one in the room (and having seen the room this was correct two people woudl barely fit into the mouldy dog box let alone with another bed) On that basis despite their purported 100% capcity they would not offer a refund or honour our booking for a 3 person room or assist us to find a room elsewhere that was suitable. They left us languishing and frankly distressed in the lobby for 2 hours before we managed to secure another hotel. I had stayed at QT in Australia for business I will not ever go near another QT anywhere. It was frankly appaling. We are now in a stand off between the two QT and Luxury Escapes and it is evident someone is not telling the truth. i dont recall ever having such an inhospitable experience at a hospitaility venue.

Great hotel, beautiful and clean. Both a rooftop cocktail bar and a nice restaurant. Right near everything. The staff like Juliana were great and very helpful.

Had a fantastic stay at the QT hotel after it was recommended by a friend. Great location literally on the door step of Satay Street. Three staff stood out during our stay… Anna on front desk was very friendly and managed to book some evening bars for us to celebrate my wife’s birthday which was greatly appreciated. Mai and Jody the bar staff on the rooftop pool were exceptional and game round with chilled iced water and continuously topped it up throughout the hot humid afternoon providing an attentive service. 5 Stars 🌟
