About the Hotel

Mamma Mia immortalized the Greek island of Skiathos, and Princess Resort Skiathos makes it possible to have a family vacation that’s equally unforgettable. The resort cultivates an effortlessly chic environment that caters to all ages, which recently earned it accolades from Harper’s Bazaar. It’s also a fave among A-listers (Skiathos’s powdery beaches and picturesque small towns really are movie-set perfect) and yogis: Along with sister resort Aegean Suites Skiathos, this is the only place in Greece to practice YogAqua, a fitness craze out of LA that combines yoga and stand-up paddle boarding

Beautiful

What an amazing hotel. Beautiful gardens, lovely restaurants and bars, clean spacious rooms, right on the beach, excellent route to Skiathos town and the hotel staff are excellent. A special mention to Katie, Adi, Kristian and Georgia who seemed to always be around to help us in the restaurant and at the bars and beach. This was our first visit to Skiathos and we stayed at the Princess Skiathos based on a recommendation by a friend and we couldn’t be more happy and hope to return to this beautiful island again.

Rude service

Experienced awful/bullying behaviour by their front of house porter yesterday. Our porter from Petra Nera who has a heart of gold kindly helped us with our luggage to where Jet 2 had asked us to wait for a transfer back to the airport. There is a car park at the front of the hotel and we were asked to go there by Jet 2. However the Princess porter rushed over and aggressively spoke to ours shouting that we shouldn’t be here and wouldn’t allow us to wait on the pavement of the hotel car park. We were herded to stand in a car park space, pictured. I understand that Jet 2 needs to look at the pick up point if Princess or this bully has an issue with guests from other hotels waiting there and i have complained to Jet 2. However both hotels use Jet 2 so an agreement should be settled before this happens again. Apparently this man has done this before to the kind staff of Petra Nera. We were disgusted by his actions. I had looked at Princess as it looked lovely but would not bother now.

Couldn't fault in any way - we'll definitely be back

Just returned from a 1 week bed & breakfast stay at the Princess. We were very impressed from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished with a large sea view balcony. The pool area was great with plenty of comfortable sun beds, a few yards further on was a lovely beach with even more sun beds. The beach bar was great with waiter service at the sun beds if you wanted it. The choice of lunchtime snacks was good and reasonably priced. The beach bar was also very nice and relaxed in the evening. The breakfast selection was also very good. The hotel has a good selection of lovely tavernas, bars and a small supermarket within a few minutes walk. Bus stop 16 is just outside the hotel, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bus. Skiathos town is about 10 minutes on the bus, and is a really nice place to visit. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return sometime soon.

Back again!

This was our second time staying at the hotel and we had a wonderful time yet again. You couldn’t have a more perfect location with the beach right on your door step. We stayed bed and breakfast and the food was of a good variety and very delicious. We were glad we opted for B&B over half board, as the only evening meals available this year were from Ammos (the beach restaurant) or the pool bar and we don’t think we’d have liked the same menu each night. Highly recommend Ammos however, for one or two nights. The beach seating is lovely too. The sunbeds on the beach are free for guests, but try and get there early in the morning as non-residents are allowed the beds if they pay for them. Some are turned away if the beach is busy with hotel guests, however we did spot some go unnoticed. This resulted in hotel guests coming down and having to leave straight away as there were no beds left. We did feel this took away from the relaxed vibe of the hotel and considering the price. There is a bus stop just outside and the bus to town takes 10-15 minutes. The buses can be full in the evening heading into town, so head out earlier than you need to so you can hop on the next one if needed! The garden and pool area is beautiful with lots of grass and trees. There is a shop across the road also. Thank you Princess for a beautiful stay yet again!
