We have been coming to this hotel as a family for the last 5 years, and have had great times. However we all felt that standards are now slipping from what was a 5 star experience. The food does not have the variety, and certain things are allowed to run out with no replenishment. Dinner has gone back to 7pm. Too late. Certain rooms are tired with maintenance required such as broken shower toiletry holders. As a returning customer we asked if we could be allocated better rooms, having already booked suites, all to no avail. The staff cannot be faulted. The high cost can no longer be justified.

We stayed here for 7 nights over Christmas and WOW did we feel pampered and spoiled! The staff here is just amazing - very friendly and helpful and make you feel welcomed every day! They offer online precheckin so when you arrive checkin takes about 2 minutes. They took our car and roofbox keys and unloaded everything to our room and ski locker and parked the car so we could start our vacation almost immediately upon arrival which we though was a very nice touch! Our room was spacious with the balcony being right along the river and a view of the mountains. We had half-board so breakfast and dinner were included. Breakfast is a buffet with Chef made to order egg dishes and dinner was small multi-courses with a salad buffet and sometimes Chef made to order sides offered. We didn't find the food life changing but it was a good sampling of many authentic Austrian and European Holiday dishes. The waitstaff service was Exceptional! Very good service to table. Shout out to our Waiter for most meals - Matteo - he was a true gem! As the hotel photos suggest, the very best thing about this hotel is the SPA area which includes a menu of spa treatments, saunas, steam room, cold pools, a Venetian themed and warm indoor pool, an infinity heated outdoor pool with a small glass bottom area and a very warm and good sized bubbling jacuzzi. There are many seating areas and daybeds all around all of those spa areas with towels and water everywhere as well as around the hotel and a bistro/bar right by the outdoor pool area with food and drinks available all day. Just INCREDIBLE - we just couldn't get enough of these pools and the jacuzzi! It is worth noting that kids are allowed in the pools and jacuzzi so at busy times it got a little loud and splashy but this was only for a small portion of time in the evenings. Most days we actually had these areas mostly to ourselves for the whole day. They have shuttle vans to go to the lifts (which you could also walk too) and the town is right there. Solden itself is cute - not very big but has some restaurants and shopping. Finally, when we were leaving, they collected all of our things from the room and ski locker, retrieved our car and helped us pack it up! SO helpful!! I would call a stay at this hotel an experience and definitely recommend it!

Without a doubt one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The spa was stunning and lovely and quiet. The added extra touches like the sauna infusion and pilates were a lovely surprise. The food choice was fantastic and quality was outstanding. The summer card and use of the BMW were the icing on the cake, as was the room upgrade to our luxurious suite right next to the spa. We had amazing treatments and we didn't want to leave this gem nestled in a stunning valley between the peaks. We also had an amazing time in the 007 experience and could have stayed another week to cycle, hike and make use of Area 47, but we often didn't want to leave the hotel because it was too nice. I recommended it straight away to a friend who stayed over the bank holiday and had just as good a time. Don't hesitate to book!

We enjoyed very much our stay at the hotel. All the staff were very kind with us. The culinary experience was a highlight. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and showed creativity and quality ingredients. In summary, it was a wonderful experience. We left feeling relaxed, appreciated, and eager to return.

We have visited a lot of 5-star hotels, and Das Central is BY FAR the BEST hotel experience we have ever had. Everything in the hotel is premium and made to have you think as little as possible for maximum relaxation. The food is delicious and varied, the staff is incredibly nice (special mention to Antonio who was marvelous) and the amenities are exceptional. Sölden is also great to explore with a lot of different activities, many of them included for free with Das Central or the summer card. Thank you very much for the most relaxing week we have had in a long time. We will come back as soon as possible. ~ Erwan & Alix
