MacArthur Place

This is a beautiful property to get a group together. You can gather by the pool, in the restaurant or around the property at one of the many fire pits. I love the gym which is well equipped and looks over the pool and the service is great. We walked a few blocks to the square in Sonoma most nights for dinner and lunch.

MacArthur Place & Spa is a stellar example of hospitality. The details from the in-room gifts, hand-written note, text message concierge, and EC charging was incredible. This is our go-to spot in Sonoma!

Upon arrival, we knew we had entered a special place; celebrating our 5th anniversary, Kevin and the front desk team set the tone high with lovely conversation, genuine hospitality and no shortage of property and nearby recommendations. The service at all outlets and on-site was outstanding, and everyone looked happy to be there - something you're hardpressed to find these days. The coffee at the Parlor was great and the pastries even better, along with night caps and bites at Layla. Our room was spacious, with nice upgrades and the bed was sublime. We'll be back!

The guest rooms and staff are simply amazing - ten out of ten. Grounds are absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to come back!

We stayed at MacArthur Place to celebrate a special occasion and had a mixed experience. Layla was excellent. The heated bathroom floors were a great touch and we really enjoyed the steam room. Outdoor shower was a cool touch too. They were also very accommodating for our dog. Unfortunately, there were ants in our room coming through a loose wall outlet. The front desk offered to move us, which we appreciated, but we didn’t want to repack during a short celebratory stay. I had also called ahead to coordinate something for the occasion and was told someone would follow up, but no one ever did. The pool was colder than expected and the gym felt limited. There’s a lot to like about the property and certain amenities, but at this price point we expected tighter execution.
