Grand Hotel Royal

We had a great 3 night stay here. It’s got great facilities, nice pool with enough deck chairs and space for everyone and a nice beach club. We really liked the food options, especially for lunch. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was also great. My only criticism is the bath/ shower combination, I would prefer not to have a bath but proper shower instead.

We recently returned to the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento for the second time, and it was just as unforgettable as our first stay. This historic property is truly a gem, perched above the Mediterranean with breathtaking views that never get old. The grounds are simply stunning—lush, beautifully maintained, and perfect for enjoying a peaceful stroll. The hotel itself is elegant and has that old-world charm. What makes the experience even more special is the staff: attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, always going above and beyond to ensure guests feel cared for. From the spectacular setting to the remarkable service, the Grand Hotel Royal exceeds expectations at every turn. It’s an outstanding 5-star hotel that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Wow this hotel is breathtaking so we chose it as our wedding reception venue. It’s simply stunning the views take your breathe away. The staff are incredible a massive Thankyou to francesco who made our wedding the most perfect day you were so incredible nothing was to much trouble I couldn’t recommend you and this hotel highly enough our day was everything we dreamt it to be a massive thank you from us emma and Marc 🫶

My daughter and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento from Aug 12 to Aug 15, 2025. We stayed in room 511. The room is very nice and large. The bathroom has double sinks and plenty of room for 2 women to lay out all of their toiletries. Surprisingly they had wash clothes along with the standard bath towels and hand towels. The property is very pretty with great views of Mt Vesuvius. The beach club has a nice deck and several levels to relax and enjoy the ocean views. I was sad though that the current of the water was a little too strong for me to truly enjoy the water as I like to just float and let the water relax me. Good idea to bring along a blow-up tube or floaty. I wish I had! They do offer a few floaties and pool noodles. Breakfast was really nice with a lot of selections. Overall this is a high level hotel with nice rooms and grounds.

Top 5 of the all around best hotel ever stayed The grounds are beautiful, pool area perfect, nice terrace with sea view, rooms spacious, comfortable, and so clean! It’s everything you could ask for in a 5 star hotel
