Hotel Almenara

Probably my favorite hotel. The pool. The terrace. The bar with the music at exactly the right volume. The staff who somehow struck the perfect balance between attentive and leaving you alone. The food that had no business being that good. And don’t even get me started about the golf! The pictures speak for themselves. Already looking at flights back.

Excellent time. Great hotel. Quiet. Good services. Food excellent. Maria Dona and Caty looked after us very well in SOciety.

Just stayed for the Easter holiday with my husband and son, joined by my best friend and her family. Highly recommend SO Sotogrande. The staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive, the food is excellent and the setting is outstanding. We are all golfers and found the Alto course exceptional, as well as the close proximity to many excellent courses. Very convenient to be able to book and pay for all golf through the hotel. The pro shop is well stocked. The practice academy was brilliant, could hit from both mats and grass, good short game area and a quiet par 3 course which was in good condition. Loved the music on the range! My only small gripe is they could offer some small complimentary gestures to hotel guests, such as a small basket of balls before a round on the Alto, and considering complimentary club hire for junior golfers- small low cost gestures that would go a long way. Aside from that the facilities are excellent. Back to the hotel- the rooms have comfortable large beds and privacy with a small outdoor area overlooking sea and mountains from the family comfy. We didn’t try the kids club but looked lovely. Plenty of outdoor space for kids to play. Pools are heated and both adult and children’s pools really nice. I felt compelled to write a review for SO Sorogrande as it is truly a lovely, peaceful, relaxing golf resort catering well for families. We look forward to returning!

Amazing place to stay with great service

We loved the hotel. It's very stylish, it's got exceptional facilities including pools and a top spa and gym and is located on a quiet hill top with breathtaking views. It exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it.
