About the Hotel
What was once a 16th-century working plantation is now an eco-friendly Caribbean hideaway that pays homage to its storied past. Fond Doux Plantation & Resort, located on the island of Saint Lucia, in the historical center and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Soufrière. The tidy wooden cottages, many cloaked in a crisp white hue, dot the tropical retreat and provide a space for guests to lounge on front porches and enjoy the lush scenery and foliage. Interiors are equally charming, with a blanket of wooden planks coating the floor, rattan furnishings and broad French doors that push open to marry the indoors with the outside.

Great Lunch
Very good lunch at Five Fingers Restaurant. We went several times during our two-week stay in St.Lucia. The catch of the day was a favorite of ours. It was good tasting, a healthy balance, and reasonably priced.

Submerged in nature.
Fond Doux is unique. It is in the most beautiful setting. If you want a resort it’s not for you. If you want a beautiful authentic St Lucian stay it is. What makes this place so special are the staff. We fondly called them Family Fond Doux. Peter at the bar makes the best cocktails and we had live entertainment on 3 nights which was great. The only downside was taxi fares if you wanted to go off site. I would definitely suggest car rental. Surrounded by nature it is paradise. Fabulous breakfast. We would have given it 5 stars but would have liked a little more variety in the restaurant although everything we ate was very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Literally a place in paradise
The setting is absolutely stunningly beautful. You don't have to bother visiting the botantical gardens in town as the grounds offer well maintained walkways in which one can thoroughly explore the grounds.

My first Fond Doux experience
My experience at Fond Doux last July was exceptional. The ambiance was amazing so peaceful and quiet that it felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I do wish there had been a little more to do or explore, but honestly, the calm and serenity made up for it. This was an unforgettable experience: very cozy, very comforting. It will definitely be my go to getaway whenever I need to clear my mind.

Ideal place to avoid screens and unwind
We stayed for several days in early 2026, and the location exceeded our expectations. All the facilities are well cared for, while being sustainable and respectful of the environment. No TVs in any of the rooms (heaven!). The rooms do have AC, but we didn't need it. The ceiling fan was sufficient. We ate twice a day in Five Fingers, and always had an excellent meal. Staff are both professional and friendly, getting to know their guests, and offering tailored recommendations.
