There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

Ladera resort is so beautiful and gave us an unforgettable trip! The views from our room, Dasheene restaurant, and across the resort were incredible. The food, desserts, and drinks at the restaurant were all delicious. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. During our stay we were able to take the shuttles to Sugar beach and Malgretoute beach- the shuttles were very organized and timely. We were also able to go on a few excursions and nature trails! The hotel is in a great location and very close to a Project Chocolat, so we were able to walk there for a tour as well. We chose to stay in a 3 wall room which was a very unique experience! They spray the room/light some citronella every night to dissuade bugs from entering the room. They also provide insect repellent and aloe after bite spray in the rooms. I decided to bring some extra bug repellent lotion/bracelets/soap etc from home and overall I didn't experience any issues with getting bitten! A few moths would come into our room at night naturally if we had lights on, but otherwise we didn't have any issues with bugs in the room. We loved Ladera and hope to go back one day!

My husband and I just celebrated our 45th anniversary here at Ladera. We returned last night from an amazing trip. The staff at the resort are extremely pleasant and eager to provide their guest with an outstanding experience. We arrived in our private transportation where we were greeted with a wet cold spearmint cloth and a welcome drink and then quickly taken directly to our suite. We stayed in Paradise Ridge 6 and it was well worth the cost for this suite. Our butlers, Darrel, Lavonte, Saidley, and School took care of us in excellence. Whenever we had a concern or need they made sure it was taken care of quickly. Our pool was heated and would get too warm. As soon as we let the staff know they would turn the heater off and one time added fresh cool water to cool it down quickly. We chose to do the Couples Harmony Experience at the spa and it did not disappoint. From the spa check in, our massage, the private time in the infinity heated pool to our lunch at Jako it was all just perfect! Our favorite part of each day were the mornings having coffee on the balcony overlooking the rainforest, until breakfast was delivered out by our pool overlooking the Caribbean and the magnificent Pitons, and then finished off with a morning swim. We cannot wait to start planning our next trip!

It’s a beautiful arrival into the hotel, the staff are all so lovely and helpful, the rooms are all absolutely incredible. Started in the gros Pitons suite which was sensational and was upgraded for our honeymoon into the heritage suite which was just mind blowing! Forever grateful! The view of the pitons blew us away, shooting stars and the most incredible night sky every evening and on our final day saw a rainbow across the pitons. Once in a lifetime and is definitely the most romantic place on Earth.

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
