There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

Great place to stay if you like both adventure and relaxation! We just came back from our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Great food, wonderful staff, and breathtaking views and amenities. We did have one problem with the amount of mosquitoes in our room due to the rainy season, but the resort understood our frustrations and upgraded us to an enclosed room with AC for the second half of our stay. The Ladera team really did a great job taking care of us. It was a honeymoon to remember!

Wow, we just got back from our honeymoon and I am still left speechless! This resort went above and beyond for your trip, and made it very personable. 10000/10 Resort and 10000/10 at Dasheene restaurant. Breakfast was included with our stay and we were able to order anything from the restaurant. The views from our room were breathtaking, we also got a surprise upgrade for your honeymoon into the “Paradise Ridge” room and omg, everything was incredible! We are still left speechless!

Ladera Resort provided a perfect stay for our 5 night honeymoon in St. Lucia. The resort was immaculate and beautifully landscaped. We had an open air view of the stunning Pitons and a private plunge pool was a great feature in our room. The resort was meticulously cared for by an amazing staff who met all our needs including a honeymoon plate of chocolates and champagne waiting in our room when we arrived. Thank you to all who ensured a wonderful stay: Tonisha who welcomed us upon arrival, Ray who hosted the art program and showed us the grounds, Sherma who ensured a wonderful dining experience at Dasheene, along with Cynthia and Aisha. And so thankful to Jeffrey who went out of his way to bring us Julie mangoes since we heard it was the sweetest but didn’t have access to buy them ourselves. The resort staff also went out of their way when my husband got sick and offered to make special tea and called to see how he was doing. Christian and his wife Sonja were so personable as the resort management and greeted all the guests. Their warmth and service was unrivaled. Dasheene has breathtaking dining views and delicious food and drinks. We enjoyed breakfasts and special dinners including happy hour and their fish fry night. Our activities were arranged by the concierge staff including our arrival and departure transfers to the airport. They made our time stress free. They provided us with local cell phones so they could easily contact us and it was very helpful. We did not go to the beach but they offered transfers to two local beaches nearby. We hiked to the lookout point and highly suggest the hiking trails for the stunning views and the unique treehouse. One caveat is that we did get our share of bug bites, but they do provide mosquito nets and bug sprays. We enjoyed the sunset cruise and had playful dolphins joining us! Ladera brings a world class experience we’ll never forget and hope to return again someday.

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
