About the Hotel

There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

Reviews for Ladera Resort

5 stars

My husband and I loved Ladera for so many reasons! Staff: The staff is very thoughtful; we were heading to Petit Piton to hike Friday morning so the butler made sure there was hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, an assortment of pastrys and extra water the night before. Another butler Vianney kept in touch with us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. All of the staff greets you with Mr. and Mrs. which you don't hear very often anymore. The waiting staff at the restaurants and pool side are kind and efficient. Rooms: The rooms are beyond our expectations with the open air concept and our own private pools with waterfalls. The structure is all wood and many plants lining the walls with bougainvillea growing just outside the railing. The view is superb with the Piton mountains framing Sugar Beach. We watched the sunset from our own room lounging in chairs. The rooms are cool in the evenings being in the canopy with the perfect breeze and a fan next to the bed and on the ceilings. Walk in showers with ornate tiles made the shower feel luxurious. Food: The chocolate cake with ice cream is the best we have ever had! The food is healthy but tastes as if it isn't good for you. They use herbs, vegetables and fruits from their own hillside garden. The drinks are unique and refreshing. Spa: Harmony massage for couples is where its at! The pool, food, massages ans environment are perfect. Overall: 5 stars from us! We place Ladera at the top along with the hilton in Bora Bora. We are already booking for next January to stay again. Huge thanks to the staff for being so kind and efficient.

Paradise Ridge is perfectly named - stay here and forget the rest of the world.

Beyond stunning is the only way to describe the view from one of Ladera's Paradise Ridge suites. After a few minor but persistent service issues we were upgraded to a PR suite for our final day. Just amazing is all I can say. If you come here for a couple of days/nights you won't even want to leave the room. We had a totally delicious seafood lunch delivered and enjoyed total luxury and privacy for our last day in St Lucia. Thank you Christian and Sonya for a special treat before we head home to rainy Ireland - another beautiful island - just not tropical paradise.

Mother Nature delivers but Ladera service does not.

The open wall concept affords breathtakingly beautiful views of the pitons. But don’t expect the standard of service to match. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days and each day we had to ask for something basic to be done - restocking the minibar, fixing the faulty phone and iPad, towels not replaced, sink had no plug (was disgustingly filthy. In addition the “acclaimed “ restaurant, Dasheene, featured ridiculously slow service and an average food standard which fell well below our expectations. It was not the relaxed stay we had anticipated and the constant contact with room service and reception made everything very stressful.

Second Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Where do I begin when you start with perfection. This resort is the most exclusive, most pampering, most luxurious experience. It’s located on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views of the ocean and Pitons. The Hilltop suites are perfect in every way. What more can you ask for when you have your warm plunge pool, drinks and 24 hour butler service. We enjoyed a day at the Leve spa, several dinners at La Dashnee Restaurant and a snorkeling trip arranged by the hotel. This is our second time here and I look forward to many more. Thank you everyone for making our stay magical.

BREATHTAKING VIEWS, UNBEATABLE SERVICE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We had the most amazing stay at Ladera. When we first booked the trip, we actually didn't realize it was an open air style resort.. and transparently, had we known, we may not have booked it. But let me tell you -- that was the best part! You genuinely feel like you are in the St. Lucian jungle while you're there.. if the jungle had 5 star luxury resort service. We have been to many places, but the service here beats all of them. The staff was so friendly, so helpful, and genuinely wanting to make sure our every need was taken care of. The food at the bar, restaurant, and fish fry was great! And don't even get me started on the view... when you first walk into your room, it will take your breath away. Daily shuttles to Sugar Beach were a huge plus too. We actually got stuck in St Lucia for 2 extra days due to ice / snow at home and they were able to find us a room to stay in (upgraded) for the extra nights at half the normal cost. I could not recommend anything better for a stay in St. Lucia. YOU MUST EXPERIENCE THIS!

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
