Sailrock South Caicos

Our anniversary trip to Sailrock Resort was magical and the staff went out of their way to make our experience unforgettable. South Caicos is extraordinarily beautiful place, and Sailrock has kept its footprint to a minimum. The island is so private that the stars blanket the night sky above. It’s hard to explain the beauty of watching the sun set in the Caribbean Sea and the harvest moon rise out of the Atlantic. Or the grandeur of floating in our private villa pool (which has ruined me for any other room option ever), eyes closed, letting the wind push us around the water, hearing nothing but waves, wind, and birds. Or a long walk along an empty beach where our splashing footsteps wake resting donkeys and spook baby lemon sharks in the shallows. I am extremely grateful to Sailrock for understanding the natural beauty of this place and safeguarding it through thoughtful planning and preservation. I am also very grateful to the Sailrock staff for their generosity, kindness, excellent service, and attention to detail that made our stay unparalleled. From the warm greeting and welcome cocktail to making our anniversary celebration special in every way. Jerome, our server extraordinaire, noticed my particular preferences, was endlessly attentive and friendly, and so patient as we took dozens of anniversary photos. Kumong patiently carted us to and fro, stopping at beautiful overlooks so we could take it in, and knowing I wanted photos of the donkeys, drove up slowly so we wouldn't scare them away. Jose, ever mindful of the next adventure, kept the snorkeling gear close by and pointed me in the right direction for my lobster search. Thank you for telling us about the lemon sharks and for encouraging me to get on the kayak; it was amazing. Eko's massage skills were absolutely amazing as my husband and I enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the island from our private massage cabanas. We spent several afternoons sharing a cocktail by the pool, recounting our favorite moments, and planning our next massages when we return. Kiki was my queen of everything; I like details, she had answers, and ideas, suggestions, and plans A, B, and C. Our appreciation extends to the remarkable restaurant staff, Ezra, Jerome, Kimberly, Nima, Leuris, and the exceptional Sailrock chef who made every meal superb; the thoughtful housekeeping team; our talented mixologist; and Mr. Harvey and the rest of the staff who understand the root of luxury is absolute comfort. We look forward to seeing you all again.

We had the best three days at Sailrock! Sailrock is one of those rare places that takes your breath away. Miles of untouched, crystal-clear turquoise waters, endless white sandy beaches and natural beauty that feels almost too good to be true. It really is paradise, and part of you wants to keep it a secret! The villas are effortlessly cool, classy and beautifully designed, with wonderfully warm private pools, the comfiest beds imaginable and fantastic air conditioning. Every detail has been thought through to make your stay feel special. The food is simply phenomenal – genuinely some of the best we have experienced anywhere in the world. Every meal was exceptional. But what really makes Sailrock stand out is the people. The staff are among the most attentive, warm and accommodating we have ever encountered. There is a genuine “yes” mentality here, where nothing is too much trouble and everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Kiki runs a fabulous hotel and has an incredible team. Special mentions must go to Eko for an amazing massage, Captain Tim for a brilliant boat trip, and Jerome, the best beach attendant you could wish for, anticipating our every need and making sure the cocktails kept flowing! Sailrock is a truly special, unspoilt corner of the world, offering understated luxury, exceptional hospitality and breathtaking surroundings. It’s increasingly rare to find somewhere that feels this untouched and exclusive. A once-in-a-lifetime experience – although we already know we’ll be back! Part of us hopes this magical little secret stays exactly as it is.

Although our stay at Sailrock started with a few issues, every member of staff went above and beyond to put things right. Their care and dedication were incredible and made our visit truly special. The resort is beautiful, the beach is stunning and the food is exceptional—a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we would love to repeat! Special thanks to Tikiera, the manager, for ensuring everything was resolved, Leny and Todeline at the front desk, Jose in Watersports, Jerome in the restaurant and Eko for a wonderful massage. Captain Tim also deserves a special mention for an unforgettable boat trip—we would like to nominate him for the National Vendor Award. Thank you to the whole team. We will be back!

Everything about our experiences was a 10/10. The service was amazing, the food was the best we have ever had and the quiet was exactly what we wanted after a 6 month wedding planning. I would recommend this resort to anyone thinking of booking. Once you arrive for your first time, your only regret will be, “why didn’t I come here sooner.”

But the true measure of a great resort is how they handle adversity. What went wrong this time is irrelevant. What went right is how Kiki, the resort manager, went above and beyond to make it right. She understood the situation, was empathetic to what we wanted and needed, and was empowered to make significant decisions ‘on the spot’ to make available the experience we needed. Sailrock, through Kiki, delivered on exactly what every great resort should - total focus on the guest with deeply personal and genuine attention.
