Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa

When we arrived on the island, we were redirected to Anantara Veli without our consent. We had to spend 3 days of our 6-day holiday eating at the same restaurants serving the same food. Even though we purchased an all-inclusive package, almost everything we wanted was charged extra. Later, we moved to the Dhigu villas, but there wasn’t even a welcome cocktail. We arrived at an empty room with no treats or hospitality gestures. In 5-star hotels, prosecco is usually a complimentary welcome amenity, but not here. There were not even exotic fruits in the room. At lunch, I asked for oysters and they were also chargeable. The sea is magnificent, and the nature is breathtaking. However, they are extremely stingy when it comes to food and constantly try to charge extra for everything. This really disappointed us. I am now asking myself whether I would come here again — and my answer is no.

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful hotel in the Maldives! From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a dream — crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and stunning villas that offered both luxury and privacy. The facilities were exceptional and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. A special thank you goes to Elizaveta, who was our personal assistant during our stay. She was always kind, professional, and ready to help with anything we needed. Whether it was arranging activities, making reservations, or simply answering our questions, she made everything effortless and stress-free. Thank you for making our experience even better!

The lagoon view at Anantara Dhigu Maldives is simply impeccable and breathtakingly beautiful. Every corner of the resort is like a picture-perfect paradise. Our whole family and children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are especially grateful to Iyaadh Ali from the Activity Center. He is kind, patient, thoughtful and responsible. He spent lots of time playing with kids. He is excellent at organizing activities and takes great care of children. Thanks to Iyaadh , the kids were reluctant to leave when we had to go. They kept saying they wanted to come back, and they even shed tears because they didn’t want to leave. It is also because of Iyaadh that we may decide to visit Dhigu again. We also want to thank our butler Sandy for her wonderful service. We truly appreciate everything Iyaadh Ali have done for our family. They have left us with deep and unforgettable memories. What impressed us most was the genuine warmth and care shown by the entire team throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully planned and effortlessly handled, allowing us to truly relax and be fully present with each other. The small, meaningful touches each day made our stay feel deeply personal and special. The Romance in Paradise package felt thoughtfully curated and very much worth it for us. It allowed us to relax and enjoy the experiences fully and we were more than happy to add on extras (like extending our spa treatment) simply because everything felt worthwhile and well valued. Akobir and the team went above and beyond to look after us during our four night honeymoon, always anticipating our needs and making us feel genuinely cared for. From arrival through to departure, the experience felt seamless, heartfelt and memorable in a way that made it hard to leave. It was the perfect place to begin our new chapter together and we would absolutely choose to return and stay here again.
