Our stay at Waldorf Astoria Maldives was truly unforgettable. The beauty of the island and the quality of the resort were exceptional, but what made this holiday especially meaningful to our family was the warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine care shown by the wonderful team. We would first like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our personal concierge, Ms. Louise. She was outstanding throughout our entire stay. What impressed us most was her ability to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. She always seemed to think one step ahead, carefully arranging everything in advance and making sure every detail was taken care of. From daily activities and dining arrangements to the many small details that made our stay more comfortable, everything was handled with great thoughtfulness and professionalism. Her attention to detail made us feel completely at ease and very well cared for. A very special thank-you also goes to Mr. Roger, the Manager at Glow Restaurant. During our dinner at Glow, he personally showed us around the restaurant and took the time to introduce us to the many different plants he grows there. He explained them to us with such enthusiasm and care that the experience became much more than simply having a meal. His passion for the restaurant and its surroundings made our evening at Glow especially memorable. We would also like to sincerely thank Ms. Joy at the main restaurant for her consistently warm, friendly, and attentive service. She always welcomed us with a smile and made every meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of the most touching moments of our entire holiday happened during breakfast on our final morning. The team specially prepared a farewell pancake and farewell hot chocolate for our daughter. It was such a thoughtful and heartfelt surprise that she was deeply moved and had tears in her eyes. For us as parents, it was an incredibly emotional moment as well. It perfectly reflected the genuine care the team had shown our family throughout the stay, and it became one of the most precious memories of our trip. Our daughter also absolutely loved spending time at the Kids Club. We are very grateful to all the kind and caring staff there. They were patient, attentive, enthusiastic, and genuinely wonderful with the children. Their thoughtful care made our daughter feel happy and comfortable, and allowed us as parents to relax knowing she was in such good hands. There were also many lovely personal touches throughout our stay. At the main restaurant, one of the team members, who happened to share my support for Manchester United, kindly prepared a special Manchester United-themed latte for me. It was a small gesture, but a very warm and memorable one that showed how much attention the staff paid to their guests. What impressed us most about Waldorf Astoria Maldives was that the service never felt routine or simply professional. It felt personal, sincere, and full of heart. Every member of the team seemed genuinely committed to creating meaningful memories for their guests. Our sincere thanks again to Ms. Louise, Mr. Roger, Ms. Joy, the entire Kids Club team, the main restaurant team, and everyone at Waldorf Astoria Maldives who made our family holiday so special. On our final day, we truly did not want to leave. We returned home not only with beautiful photographs, but with many warm and emotional memories that we will treasure for a very long time. This is my‑very‑first trip abroad, and also my first time visiting the Maldives. Before arrival, I worried a lot about language barriers and unfamiliar food. All my worries faded away the moment I met our butler Louise (WeChat name: Qi Dai). I feel incredibly blessed. Louise is my very‑first personal butler, and she is absolutely wonderful. She showed immense patience introducing every corner of the island and every detail of our villa. She has remarkable emotional intelligence and pays close attention to small details. She remembers things I mentioned, even details I myself had forgotten, and takes care of everything thoughtfully. She would check on us at the restaurant every day to see how we were doing. She arranged and explained all our island activities carefully, and always replied to my questions promptly — every request got a proper response. When we returned from excursions, she was already waiting for us at the dock ahead of time. She reminded us of our daily schedule, and answered my WeChat messages almost instantly. When my husband got sunburnt on his arm, she kindly helped us get the medication we needed. Thanks to her thoughtful care, we felt completely at ease, even as first‑time international visitors. I cannot compare her to other butlers, yet I am truly grateful for this lucky encounter. With your outstanding language talent and great emotional intelligence, you will succeed in whatever you pursue. We may not meet again, but I wish you all the best. If you ever come to Shenyang, China, please let me be your host! Please take good care of yourself, get enough rest, sleep well and eat properly. Our stay at Waldorf completely exceeded our expectations. The resort is incredibly expansive. We loved that there was always a new area to explore every day. Our Grand Reef Villa was absolutely magnificent; both the room and the private pool were remarkably spacious. The interior design and overall decor have a premium, high-quality texture that truly elevates the luxury feel of the property. The highlight of our trip, however, was the outstanding service. Our butler, Louise, was phenomenal. She was always quick to respond and incredibly attentive to every detail, ensuring our stay was flawless. We also want to give a special shoutout to every staff member we encountered, as their hospitality was universally excellent. A huge thank you to the manager and the entire team at Glow restaurant. They were exceptionally friendly and patient with my daughter, going out of their way to entertain her and even preparing an extra surprise that made our little one’s day. At the Watersports center, Abo was fantastic. He is highly experienced and guided us on an amazing catamaran sailing trip. The dining across the island was superb, with Ledge, Glow, and Li Long standing out as absolute favorites. As for the location, the Grand Reef Villa was a perfect choice. We were pleasantly surprised to spot sea turtles right outside our villa during our morning snorkel!

Having stayed at more than 175 hotels globally, I can confidently say that the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Isthaafusi (WAMI) stands at the very top of my list. While I’m sure there are many incredible properties that I have yet to experience, I believe it would be extremely difficult to surpass what the WAMI offers. I spent five nights there on a family trip, and to date, it has been the most memorable vacation I’ve experienced. From the exceptional service to the attention to detail, every aspect of the stay was truly outstanding. Even on the days when the weather wasn’t ideal, the resort continued to offer an impressive range of activities and experiences, ensuring that there was always something to enjoy. It truly is a bucket-list destination and one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional family getaway. I would also like to extend thanks to the team whose professionalism, genuine hospitality, and commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience were evident throughout our visit. Our concierge, Mo, was especially accommodating of all our last-minute changes and ensured that there was always something to look forward to, by planning a detailed itinerary for each day of our stay. Mubeen oversaw that every morning at Tasting Table, we were given the best of the best, from cappuccinos with our faces printed on them, to recommending authentic Maldivian dishes from the buffet. I must also commend Riza,Inash,Dinara,Hambley and the rest of the team for their assistance and attention to detail. I had the pleasure of interacting with Areef and Marco from the front office who assisted in fine tuning this trip in making it such a memorable family vacation. The WAMI has certainly set a very high standard, and it will be hard to find another property that can top this experience.
