Thanks Yousry !!! I can’t speak highly enough of our butler at Waldorf Astoria Maldives. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our whole vacation. Whether we needed to arrange excursions or had small requests for our villa, he sorted everything out perfectly in no time. All the little considerate touches made our island getaway so comfortable and memorable. Such warm, genuine service—we really appreciate all he did for us! Fantastic service from our Waldorf butler! Super thoughtful, helpful and attentive all the time. This trip couldn’t be better thanks to him.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Special thanks to our butler Yousry. He was incredibly thoughtful, always responded to our messages promptly, and arranged every detail of our vacation perfectly for us. The resort boasts fantastic facilities, outstanding service, and breathtaking ocean scenery. We truly enjoyed every moment on the island. We would love to come back for another holiday in the future!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. The resort itself is beautiful, and we were especially impressed by our villa. The design, surroundings and facilities were excellent, and overall, the service from the team was very good. If there is one area where we feel the experience could be improved, it would be the small details and the sense of occasion throughout the stay. This was our first trip to the Maldives, so we were particularly looking forward to those little moments and surprises that make a stay feel special and memorable. For example, we did not receive a welcome drink when we arrived. Of course, this is a very small thing, but for guests like us who value a sense of ceremony, these details do make a difference. We also missed the opportunity to arrange the resort’s photography service. We understand that our concierge may have been very busy, but as first-time guests, we were not aware that this needed to be arranged in advance. In the end, we could only send in one of our own photos to have it printed. It would have been lovely if experiences like this could have been introduced or recommended to us proactively. There were a few similar moments during our stay. For example, we only learned from other guests about some of the small gifts and special touches available at the resort, such as the Waldorf Astoria plush toy, and then asked our concierge about them ourselves. Again, these are not big issues individually, but we felt that many of the special touches had to be discovered by asking other guests or requesting them ourselves. We also had a small experience at Taste Table where, as we were quite tired, we asked if we could order a little more food rather than going back to the buffet ourselves. We were encouraged to get the food from the buffet instead because the serving plates would be quite large. We completely understand the practical reason, but the interaction made us feel slightly uncomfortable asking for additional service. One other area we feel could be improved is the variety of activities available during rainy weather. As we visited during the rainy season, we experienced several periods of rain throughout our stay. We completely understand that the weather is beyond the resort’s control, but we did feel that there were relatively few indoor activities or alternative experiences available when outdoor activities were not possible. For a resort where guests spend most of their stay on the island, it would be wonderful to have more creative rainy-day options — whether indoor entertainment, workshops, couple activities, or other unique experiences. This would make a big difference, especially during the rainy season, and ensure that even a rainy day can still feel like a special part of the Maldives experience. We want to emphasize that this is not a complaint about our concierge or the team. Everyone was kind and helpful whenever we asked for something, and we appreciate their efforts very much. Rather, we feel that the experience could become even better if there were a little more proactive communication and anticipation of guests’ needs — especially for first-time visitors who may not know what experiences, services or special touches are available. For a resort at this level, it is often these small, thoughtful and unexpected moments that turn a beautiful holiday into an unforgettable one. We had a very good stay overall, and we hope this feedback can help make the experience even more special for future guests.

True to the brand's signature style and concept, the Waldorf Astoria is an exquisitely crafted, ideal getaway. We arrived early by boat, and our butler thoughtfully arranged a beach villa for us to relax in while waiting. Both the beach and overwater villas have their own unique appeal—if you're traveling with kids, I'd highly recommend the beach villa, while couples will likely prefer the overwater villa. The island itself is quite vast, but buggy wait times were surprisingly short. Our butler was great, though I wouldn't compare her to the butler service at the St. Regis. Here, the butler feels more like attentive hotel staff rather than a dedicated personal butler. The resort's dining options are distinct and memorable, and we really enjoyed trying several of the different restaurants.

My family and I had so much fun. Everything there was worth the stay. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The resort is very clean and well organized. The selection of food is wide and diverse. Our butler yousry was great and helpful , he provided us with everything we needed.
