The Reefs Resort & Club

For fantastic and warm service and for a beautiful location you will not find a more pleasant stay on Bermuda. The owner David does a wonderful job making every guest feel appreciated. Kudos to the staff!

Our stay at the Reefs was truly amazing. Everything was top notch and well beyond expectations - beautiful ocean views, friendly and helpful staff, clean, spacious, and well-appointed room, convenient location, and really nice private beach. We really appreciated the vibe of the hotel - big enough to offer plenty of services, but small enough to feel intimate and inviting. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We'll definitely be back!

This was our second visit to the Reefs. The first was our honeymoon. Our first stay was perfect, but this last visit (13 years later) was not. We stayed in an ocean front junior suite which is an upgrade. The room was dated and looked worn. There were stains on the furniture and carpet. Things in the room needed repair (closet doors and outdoor chairs). The pillows in the room were old and uncomfortable. These issues were not new, but somehow were overlooked by maintenance and housekeeping, which is unexpected for a nightly rate of over $1200. The setting of the resort is lovely, built into a bluff with a private beach. The pool is pretty, but very small for a resort this size. The Reefs is advertised as "family friendly", but it NOT! My husband and I came for a peaceful getaway, but it was far from it. Several families with a half dozen children arrived mid stay and immediately created chaos. The parents and children took over the small pool and children were doing cannonballs into the pool and were running all around. They threw footballs and snorkeling gear out of the pool and were diving for bottle caps provided by the parents/grandparents. We complained to the staff as we couldn't enjoy the pool or even get in it and they did nothing. On one day it was rainy. There was nothing for children to do at the resort, no activity/game room or even a place to roam. My husband and I were in the small, but well equipped gym on this day and a family with four children came in with dripping wet umbrellas thrown down on the floor. The children appeared to be aged 4-10 years old. Both parents were present and proceeded to exercise as the children used the facility as a playground, hanging from the weight machines and exercise equipment. The father even handed weights to a child who appeared to be about 4-5 years old. My husband complained to hotel staff, but they did nothing. At this point we were unable to workout, left the gym and asked to speak to management. They were apologetic, clearly we were not the only ones complaining. We asked why there was no supervision by the pool to enforce the pool rules or why there was no age limit to enter the gym. They said the parents should enforce the pool rules and that there was no age limit for gym use. We were flabbergasted! We discussed hotel liability, danger to the the family or us, but were merely placated. We left the next day needing a vacation from this one. My husband and I agreed we would never return unless they changed their rules, This is not a family friendly resort, and the hotel needs to make changes or they will lose business.

My family group of 15, ranging from 2 to 81, came to Bermuda to celebrate my 70th birthday. Our stay at the Reefs was simply amazing. In every way, they exceeded my high expectations! I have never experienced such unparalleled hospitality from absolutely every member of the staff. Wonderful rooms, excellent food in a variety of settings, a picturesque beach bbq against the backdrop of a Bermuda sunset, glorious beach and spectacular views. Absolutely worth the splurge. We'll be back!

This is our 4th trip to the Reefs and it never disappoints. The service was great, the food as well. Could not ask for a better trip. We are already planning our return.
