There were 3 desks for checking guests in. It went smoothly. Our room is small, but clean and comfortable. We appreciate the Kuerig machine and brought our own coffee. There is a fridge, no microwave. The beach is fantastic, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas and no crowds. Some seaweed but not like Tulum. We love the nice reefs and fish right off the beach! We brought our own snorkeling equipment but they will loan you theirs. The pool and hot tub are very nice too. Clean and don’t smell of chlorine. The food was above average, but could include more vegetables. We met some friendly people. They have 4 nice new pickleball courts but don’t have a system to set you up with other players. So far I have not seen anyone using them. I just returned from the Welcome Swizzle party, but the music was loud and there was not a host or manager greeting and introducing guests. I gather this is not a family run hotel like the Pompano Beach Club down the street. Everyone kept to themselves and you could not talk over the loud music. The front desk suggested we play with 2 people 🤷♀️. The gym is small but has lots of heavy weights and yoga mats. Some big machines as well. It cannot accommodate more than 3 people at a time. Climbing all the stairs walking to the beach and back will keep you fit. We went on a tour of the Island today and it was an adventure but it’s better here. There is a very British tea at 4 o’clock each day which is lovely. Cute little sandwiches, scones, cookies, coffee and tea. Don’t be late, the guy starts breaking it down at 4:58. Breakfast is above average, they have avocado toast, fruit and all the usual eggs, carbs, and fat. That’s all I have for now, maybe I’ll update later in the week.

Much of our conversation on the trip revolved around how perfect it all was. Bermuda is just a great place. The Reefs was a stretch for our price range but we're so glad we did it.

Perfect experience. Room, food, staff was excellent. Spa is one of a kind and very special. We would return when in Bermuda.

Quite simply, the Reefs Resort and Club is the very best in Bermuda ~ and clearly in the Top 10 in the Caribean as well. Between it's spectacular location in Southampton, incredible private beach, architectural design, intimate charm, and a staff so pleasant to engage with, there are just too many reasons why we will always return. You will be rewarded while checking-in; not just with the Rum Sqwizzle, but feeling like family right away ~ and that you have made the right choice in a tropical location. The recent design changes to Solaris Restaurant and Lounge, with its new covered terrace, are simply spectacular. The entertainment is much appreciated. Coconuts is a great beachside restaurant with incredible view of the sunset, Bermuda longtail birds, and the crystal clear beach waters. We have a great appreciation to the new Chef Carlos Melendez! The team at The Reefs has certainly transformed this beautiful boutique hotel into something with world class standards (Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, etc.). Between Coconuts and the newly re-designed Solaris, you will find it hard to find a reason to leave the property. Dinners were exceptionally good at Solaris ~ with great panoramic views of this spectacular South Shore beach. I have been luck to visit Bermuda a dozen times before meeting my wife. We have loved vacationing at The Reefs for decades; and still talk about our perfect wedding at The Reefs. We just celebrated our 10th visit, & 29th Anniversary there, and know in our hearts that it was the best choice. Again, congratulations to Mr. David Dodwell, Sr. and his family for operating this perfect spot. We are definitely looking forward to celebrating our 30th Anniversary next year at The Reefs :) Thank you, Mr. David Dodwell, and your entire team, for another stay in Paradise! Bill

This was our sixth visit to The Reefs. We love the beach, the views, the staff and the restaurants. Extremely quiet at night and not an "uppity" resort (which we prefer). Spa and spa treatments were amazing. The new restaurant, Solaris was stunningly beautiful and the food was awesome! Love the work that was just done to the restaurant including the outside covered deck and the beautiful new furniture and windows. The Dodwells who own the property are always onsite and make a point of talking to guests. Beach BBQ on Thursday night is crazy good. We would just love 2 bottles of water daily instead of the water from jugs. It wasn't tasting great this visit. Rooms are in need of a refresh especially the shower floors. The beach is always beautiful but the week we were there had lots of Sargassum. The Reefs is to be commended for their Herculean efforts to clean it daily with a tractor and some very hard working men. We will be back soon! A special shout out to the young lady who works on the beach and delivers drinks and food. She is awesome and always smiling. Also Lisa was an amazing waitress at breakfast and dinner. Every room has amazing views. The whole property is beautiful.
