Reviews for Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split

Wonderful experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

I stayed at the Radisson Blu for work and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere was both elegant and welcoming, with many guests clearly enjoying a well-deserved holiday and I could see why! Everything, from the comfort to the amazing buffet, made me wish I were staying for leisure. A heartfelt thank you to Frida and Lea for their kindness and outstanding support, they truly made all the difference. I’ll definitely be coming back… next time to relax!

I tried the deep tissue massage in the spa with Anja and we spent the whole day in the poolbar in our own cabana. We had the best service by our guy at the pool area and the massage was divine. Highly recommend. Will come back!

The hotel was ok but certainly not 5 star! If you’re planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel during your stay, don’t book this one. It’s fine as a base for day trips etc but not worth the money. - Rooms look like they haven’t been updated since the 90s and we booked one of their premium ones. -You can see the sea from the balcony but it is overlooking a building site so you have to look past that. - You have to pay extra for access to the beach club (at least 100 euro per day). It is not part of the hotel as it leads you to believe on the photos. -Food at the restaurants is expensive and mediocre. The breakfast is ok but have certainly had better.

A Pleasant Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I recently stayed here for 7 nights on a family trip to explore Split. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I hope this review is helpful. Pros: -Service - Overall, the staff members throughout the resort were incredibly accommodating, pleasant and worked to ensure that patrons had a smooth stay; -Location - The setting on the sea is lovely. Although the resort is not within walking distance of old town, it’s a $13 Uber away and I found it incredibly easy to get Ubers to and from the hotel; -The view - I had a junior suite on the 6th floor towards the right with an ocean view, pool and city view. (A family member stayed on the other side in a superior suite-the left side (602 end) had a coastal, beach, and ocean view from the corner room. It was definitely a superior view with a wrap around balcony); -Indoor pool - I loved the indoor pool. It was surrounded by floor to ceiling windows so you didn’t feel closed in and it was never crowded; -Complimentary breakfast-There is an included breakfast every day from 7 to 11. I’m not a huge buffet fan, but there was an omelette making station. Included breakfast was a cost savings and enjoyed by the family; -Spa - The spa staff was nice and the massage treatments were very good. Cons: -Cleanliness - First, the thoroughness of the cleaning varied by day. Once I forgot to leave a daily tip and I think all they did was make my bed and add towels. No cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Second, on my last day, they couldn’t clean my room because there were numerous late checkouts. That is completely unacceptable. My room should have been cleaned every day, regardless of late checkout issues; and third, the balcony door was spotted and dirty. I asked for someone to clean it. They stated that it would be cleaned but it never was. -No walls- In the junior suite, it is a completely open floor plan with no walls between the bathroom and other areas. I didn’t love the lack of privacy. But we worked out a system where we kept all of the curtains surrounding the bathroom and closet area closed. But be warned, the tub and shower area are open and only can be closed off by a curtain and sound carries. -The regular rooms (non suite) - Some of my family members were in regular rooms. They were very plain and were not on the level of a 5 star resort. -The view - There was a building with graffiti near the pool area. It detracted from the beauty of the view. I think the Radisson should purchase it, tear it down and build an all suite add on or expand the pool area. Then the view would be perfect. -Room Service - Room service, or the one help desk, frequently messed up room service orders. I suspect there was a language barrier. -Elevators - On one side, there is one elevator. It is slow as molasses and sounds like it is breaking down. Often, there was a long wait so I needed to add extra time for elevator delays. Overall, I would return but I wanted to provide guests with a fair assessment.
