We stayed a week here and overall was a pleasant experience. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a busy hotel so not the place to come for peace and quiet. Buffet breakfast was a very good quality and the Italian restaurant, Lubelli, was also very nice. The room was spacious but decorated in dark colours so there was no warmth to the room. The carpet seemed to have been converted over with hard flooring so not the most comfortable and a duvet would have been better rather than just a sheet. Our only real negative was the swimming pool. It was constantly busy. In addition people using the gym walk through the pool area to get to the gym so there was nothing relaxing about the pool area, something you hope for. Having said that the hotel offers very good value for money.

I envisaged high expectations at this hotel for the following reasons. I had specifically booked and paid for prior to arrival a 45 sq mt King Premium Room with access to the Opal Lounge. The room category would give me ample space especially with sofas and I knew I could make use of the Opal lounge for soft drinks, snacks and tranquility throughout the day. I had alerted the hotel prior to my arrival asking for complimentary upgrade if possible due to my Platinum status. I arrived and immediately was told that the opal lounge is closed as its off season but as I am a Platinum member the hotel will upgrade me to King Premium Family Room with access to the main Executive lounge on the top floor. This was perfectly acceptable, the room was spacious, as bathroom had power shower with lovely complimentary toiletries. The hotel foyer was immaculately clean, spacious and staff readily available to assist you. That said, the corridors to bedrooms are slighly dated and in need of a refresh and modernisation. The lounge itself on the 15th floor was exceptional, staff were professional, friendly and attentive. The food served at breakfast was presented and served to a high standard. The food quality exceeded my expectations. The hotel was perfect in every way for my stay and I will definitely be returning in the near future.
