Rooms were large and well appointed and very clean. Within walking distance of restaurants, park, library & more. The staff, especially the front entry people were so helpful & knowledgeable. Took us to the history museum and told us about the city, Summit Hill, the Cathedral & more.

This is a beautiful historic landmark hotel located perfectly downtown St Paul. Across from Rice Park with a short walk to all downtown entertainment venues and many restaurants. Grand lobby sets the tone for the stay. Our room was large, well appointed and clean. Professional and efficient valet staff made parking a breeze. Welcoming, well informed staff made us feel right at home. Will return!

Perfect location, sweet, old school glamour atmosphere, small, but comfortable rooms, clean! And quiet. Great value for this location and care from staff. I’d definitely go again!

A beautifully maintained and appointed hotel, with a fine dining restaurant should have a first class, attentive and attentive staff willing to cater to your most inane requests. This hotel checks all the boxes in the “win” category. I could live there, and I pride myself on my high expectations for accommodations and personal service.

I rarely write reviews but decided after a lukewarm experience at the Saint Paul Hotel last week . Booked for a special anniversary ( stayed on our first leg of honeymoon and decided to go back on a milestone anniversary) Firstly I must add this is a beautiful historical Hotel and really stands out .. previous experience at the hotel was great although not stayed since the pandemic. Arrived at the weekend to a mass bus party of sightseeing tourists as we checked in … it was busy and a little chaotic, the reception staff were polite and checked us in. Booked the ambassador suite , lovely room and a real treat and I was excited as there was supposed to be a special surprise inside . However very disappointed to find that the special surprise was not in the room , a bottle of champagne.. and most importantly no acknowledgment of our anniversary from the hotel at check in or even a small card in the room .. nothing to say welcome back.. happy anniversary nothing ….. My husband booked this as a special treat and had to call reception to ask for the romantic gesture which was a bit disappointing and it was sent up to our room . Exploring the hotel , we soon discovered that there was a wedding party also hence why it was so busy and it did feel a little crowded in the lobby area . My husband did try and rectify the lack of acknowledgment of our anniversary and was told a card would be sent up .., Sometime later a card was sent up , no name inside but Happy Anniversary from the hotel .. honestly it would have taken 2 minutes to find out who was staying in the room and personally acknowledge us as guests .. the whole experience felt flat .. Must add great service at the bar and in the restaurant and this made up for the lack of care in the hotel . Nice hotel , if you are going for a regular stay , no issues it’s ok . honestly would not recommend if you were going for a celebration because they do not acknowledge this . I felt it was quite disappointing considering we chose this hotel especially.. I felt we were playing second fiddle to the wedding party and the bus party of tourists … Overall a lukewarm reception .. and not in a rush to go back .
